It's become clear all the negative comments are just taking jabs at people for the sake of flaming. Words hardly have a meaning in the thread now, if they ever did. I hope the moderators are writing things down.
The words spoken in this thread have plenty of meaning. You just refuse to listen to the ones you don't like.
Engage in a meaningful discussion? Wait, it's not going in your favor.
"MODS!!! Shut it down!!!"
Howdy o/
The movement has changed so fast that I struggle to update my vocabulary for all those buzzwords comming up each day.I think the issue is that in order for transgenderism to "work," it requires having everyone adhere to the system set by those people.
If one person defies the system, then the people who set it, get really defensive. The reason for that is due to how it's currently structured and where it's coming from.
What annoys me, though, is that one can never be "allied" enough to them. No matter how much support and understanding you showed in the past, you're branded as transphobe/bigot for one wrong question, for not heeding the virtue signal, for not attaking other tranphobes hard enough.
Spot on. Even questions from within their community is not allowed. I heard stories about transgender people regreting thier transition. I tried to learn more about the use of hormones, their side effects, and possiblity for detransitioning. As soon as I mentioned detransitioning, all the friendly face turned hostile. The biggest issue with the structure of their system is that simply questioning any aspect of it, gives them grounds to immediately dismiss everything you say henceforth under the grounds of being a "transphobe" or something else, simply because you questioned it. Usually, if something is strong or comes from a good foundation of existence, you wouldn't need to get defensive at the mere questioning of it, since you would've had confidence in who you are to begin with. You wouldn't need to argue with people about who you were, if you believe in yourself. You may not harbor any hate whatsoever to them, but they will convince you that you are hateful, regardless of the situation or any deeper context around it.
Where it comes from, is the people centered around them convincing them something is true. There's a phenomenon called the "illusory truth effect" where repeated exposure to any false information can cause someone to believe that information to be more true then actual true information. If you for example are repeatedly told left handed people are full of sin. You might end up believing that, because you will compare it to something you already know to be true, then because something is more familiar due to repetition, that familiarity can overpower the truth. Causing someone to believe something just from repeated exposure to it. Familiarity overpowers rationality.
All this tells me is that the social aspects of transgenderism don't really have a sturdy foundation to them, because when you question anything, that social illusion is broken, causing defensive behavior. You have to play House essentially or else face ostracization, if you happen to be speaking in an area that houses alot of people who play it willingly.
This right here is why I don't care what they say anymore. The whole thing only gets worse the more you look into, it's all basically a giant front for the most unsavory of people. That hurl insults and labels around, while they themselves fit those labels and insults far more than the people they try and stick them on.The movement has changed so fast that I struggle to update my vocabulary for all those buzzwords comming up each day.

Since when pronouns equate to adhominen attacks in your example? We already have a system, it's called social etiquette.
If I meet someone and introduce myself as "Bob" and then the person decides to call me "Ugly stupidface" instead, I will feel insulted, it's not hard to understand.
Like this really genuinely irks me when people just misgender trans people and act like their doing nothing wrong. Your not a child, you understand the context of what your saying and why it can and will be construed as an insult so why play this tired charade instead of just admitting your transphobic?
I also struggle to find pronouns offensive. When people are using pronouns to refer to you, doesn't that usually indicate you're not present in the scene of conversation? Who is offended? What is "misgender" anyway? Are pronouns meant to refer to one's biological sex, or gender identity? Which one and why? Do people have consensus about such topics? If transgender woman is a woman, does that mean a woman is also a transgender women? because that's how equation works

So as we can clearly see here by this giant post this guy typed out, and the many other posts in this thread, the criticisms of this VA are definitely just 100% about her job done as a voice actor and totally have nothing to do with her being trans. The most dangerous thing about people like you is you don't realize there is a very (dangerous) difference that extremist fail to recognize the damage they do to their platform.
- If people want to silence you, that's actually the easy fight. That's what people have been doing since the 60'
- The much harder fight is when people no longer care about what you said. This trend started around a decade ago and getting worse.
Just think what's the most dangerous threat to democracy isn't far left or far right, it's about a population that has grown apathetic to the process. And before you go and blame the population for being apathetic, think why they become apathetic in the first place.
It's used to be a moderated things with a lot of genuine support, that's why social movement have been able to gain a lot of advancement. But the last decade or so some movement have movement felt empowered enough to believe themselves can't do no wrong, allow them to insert in any situation and gaslit everyone ... at best, I think a lot of people just become jaded when we have to be exposed to a constant 24/7 issue. Remember, even when there is a war with hundred people dying daily, being in the news long enough and most just look at all those deaths as trivial evening news.
People are not telling the activist to shut up because they want to silence others, but no one want to listen to the same crap repeat ad-nauseam.
Remember even when a medicine is good, an overdose will sometime create the opposite effect. That's exactly the (dangerous) difference people like you can't recognize.
That's even assuming you're being genuine, but I seriously doubt that.
I'm old enough to remember that one of the pillar of social activism used to be no person should be denied a job based on who they are, but only on their own merit.
To think these days you see some minority is brazen enough to believe they should get the job simply because of who they are despite lacking the ability to do it.
Yeah, get that crap outta here. Just because originally people have a good cause, doesn't mean they're immune to take it too far. If anything, the history human is a gigantic show case of that very risk.
Lmao you guys are so bad at hiding it.
Has anyone asked the OP if they feel special and back-patted enough yet? I mean, this thread really took off, so OP gotta be feeling like a regular old paragon of the human animal by now, right?
Thanks for apologizing on my behalf, OP, and your complete dismissal of your opponent's viewpoints is very valid and doubleplus good.
The thing for me is...i never meet "such" people irl. When i go work i never meet such people, supermarket..nope. In my freetime? Nope....this "movement" seems to only exist in Social Media. Or maybe living in east germany is a blessing so i dont have to deal with those people at all.*shrug*
However...this stuff is so hard thrown into our faces that it gets really annoying for me as a "bystander", which doesnt give a F about as what you describe yourself, as long as you leave me alone. But nope...this "small" minority is everywhere, just look at that olympic opening.
