Ever heard of a thing called fall damage? Besides, last I heard there was a map redesign anyway.
It's like you're not even reading what I'm typing.
I KNOW about the redesign. But the structure of the CURRENT WORLD is not propperly structured for it.
The point I'm trying to make is that the world redesign will have to be focoused around the idea of jumping to avoid issues like being trapped or entering areas you're not supposed to be or otherwise making the feature about as usefull as an emote you can use at the push of a button.
You actually don't even understand your own point, by looks of things. Your point wasn't that jump would be useless (because even with the CURRENT WORLD capslock, jump would still be a welcome addition, purely to be able to hop up and down ledges). It's like you're not even reading what I'm typing.

No, your point was in regards to getting trapped etc, which I'm sure is not something S.E. would overlook. After all, there's nothing they love more than locking people out of places. And again, I must repeat, ever heard of fall damage? Fall-damage solves like 90% of problems. I realise that might be a revolutionary concept and everything, but try to get your head around it if you can.
No. Shut up.
Usually I agree with you but I'm not in the mood for interpretive misdirection and passive aggressive meandering.
Jumping's fine as long as the world is designed for it. That's all I care about. Whether or not you think the current world works for it is up to your discretion but I don't think it would function well without some drastic analysis and restructuring of invisible walls, possibly in ways that don't make sense. Especially pointless sense this world's going to be gone forever within a year.
Of course! We all want maps that support jumping very well! It's like you're not even reading what I'm typing.

That goes without saying... or not, haha.
I agree with some of what you say Gramul, that's why the jump debate is still on-going. We have no proof the devs are not repeating the same mistake again. Only a vague date of a future jumping feature.
I believe all maps should be designed two-folds: main non-jumping routes, remote/hidden paths that require some jumping and careful walking (no more bottomless pits with invisible wall please, I want to be able to fall and make monsters fall).
You want to reach something you are not "supposed" to reach, jump to it (but designed to actually support someone going there with jumping, like rooftops, bottomless cliff sides, etc.)!
That way, non-jumper players can continue to play as usual and use the main routes. Jumpers can use the shortcuts and explore further (and spy on non-jumpers from rooftops).

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)
