Let me expand this:
If the "hardcore" (midcore savage raider) crowd ran this game, the game wouldn't just be harder, it would change the community as a whole:
- Everything would be locked behind endgame
- You need to rush to endgame to unlock endgame, which will lead to competition
- There will be more greed and ego, causing sabotage, backstabbing, and more Rin Kirigane like situations, or shaming others for parses
- Generally more harassment
- Cheating while driving campaigns to accuse others of cheating

Don't let sweatlords control the game.
