My Anxiety just kept telling me you suck, you can't do it just give up, and the people commenting reiterated what my Anxiety brain was telling me.
now for trials I wont be able to do that so hopefully they don't mind me floor tanking lol

I wish more people would respond like you, Instead of attacking us telling us It's Easy, get good or quit. It only makes us upset even more with our inadequacy
Shadow I also had some trouble this time around with 1 of the trusts. I have found that playing a ranged DPS then following the healer around like I am almost glued to them really helps me miss the multiple ground aoe square loves so much and helps me be out of harm's way in most coming attacks. Just a tip to try if you choose. Usually works for me.

I'd suggest you take a step back and try to understand why someone might feel a change to the difficulty level as an optional change might result in that becoming the norm for people to use, which would negatively impact people who preferred the standard difficulty established in DT. Changing trusts to make the content functionally unfailable would also remove any real feeling of accomplishment from beating it. If you just want the story, you can watch streams.

There's no real nice way to phrase this... do you just want the feeling of having beaten something in gameplay, while not actually engaging with gameplay systems or overcoming any form of challenge or adversity? Do you just want to press buttons while cool things flash up on the screen in a way that feels like you are making it happen? Might I suggest watching a stream while playing along with an disconnected controller?

Yes Trusts need to be changed. Trusts DPS NPCs need to AoE. Trust NPC Healers need to heal better, when healing a Player tank. Boss's need to have respawn "gates" (if you get them to sub 50%/25% and die to a mechanic the boss should respawn at 50%/25%generally if you are doing the dungeon with "default" trusts the game should give you echo, or reduce all mob HP by 25% including bosses. Most importantly, every dungeon and trial should be doable with Trusts (or hell, or squadron members, or your retainers) not just "most of them" I realize there are story implications of why there is not a trust version of the final encounter, but we are literally in a place where people can be "re-created" it wouldn't be too difficult to have the game create either NPCs we know and love from our memories or generally just let you use generic trust npcs like are done in ARR dungeons while using trusts.

Generally, no one is saying Trusts shouldn't be fixed for players who want an easier more streamlined experience. What we are saying is that Content isn't overtuned for the rest of us and its us who runs this content til the cows come home. We are saying that raid content is optional, and while the easiest option to "undertune" the new raids is to implement Echo while using the Duty Finder without a full party and you fail just like that other game does when you fail in LFR.

Edit: I guess they are saying "it may be too timeconsuming and expensive" to change them, but I call BS on that statement. If its going to help retain the great number of players who have been complaining about content they feel is overtuned, then its 100% not too expensive. Either way implementing Echo/hp nerfs inside solo content is nothing new. If you fail to a solo dungeon you are given the opportunity to nerf that instance when rejoining it. So it IS possible to nerf things on the fly.

It sounds like the solution here would be to move earlier. There is no damage requirement for dungeon content, so during the parts of the fight that you struggle with, you could try simply not using spells/abilities and focusing entirely on planning your movement, and moving as fast as possible as the parts of the mechanic resolve.

It is annoying that some trust members move late, I agree. You can mitigate this by learning where they "want" to stand and making sure that you are moving to a spot which will be free, early, for "spread" type mechanics. Trust members will always move in the same pattern.

One could argue that this design is good because it's similar to how players would negotiate positions, or bad because it forces players who wouldn't run hard content to go through a simplified form of that process which they might want to avoid; both are valid, but either way the problem is solvable. Good luck!

As someone who likes to experience the content with Duty Support the first time through (because immersion), I've definitely had a hard time with some of the DT dungeons. I even thought about switching to a tank job, but I'm determined to finish it as a canon VPR. I timed out the first lvl 100 dungeon the first time though because of the first and last bosses (the middle boss always went down on the first attempt, I dunno why) It's not the first time, though. I remember timing out Vanispati on my first attempt because of the last boss there, and later on finishing Troia with about 5 minutes to spare. I'm not good with mechanics at all. Sometimes I don't really get it until I've cleared it 10+ times. Some I still don't understand and regularly die to, like the black and white rotating circles in the last Nier raid. What *IS* that?!

It's definitely frustrating, and immersion breaking. Is it significantly harder than Vanispati in ilvl 520 gear? I'm honestly not sure. I've been stubbornly plodding through under my delusional? belief that it'll all be routine a year from now when we're in 750 gear and have run them all a few dozen more times.

There are 2 parts to this mechanic, the black and white disks that drop at the mechanic center, and the half black half white circle around you. as each disk falls, Match the colors so they face each other!

Black disk = turn so your black side is facing the center of the mechanic
White disk = turn so your White side is facing the center of the mechanic

The key mechanic for the last nier raid throughout is that opposing colors destroy each other, while the same colors do nothing to each other. All you need to remember is don't let the opposites collide!

I am not sure if this is the case for you, but several mechanics in DT dungeons show several tells for where the mechanic is going to hit. For several of them, the ground indicator is not even a telegraph, but just an information of how much of the arena is actually going to take damage from the mechanic that was informed prior to that.

For the mechanics in which the telegraph on the ground is the one that tells you where to move and where to stand, you should pre-position to be on the edges of those ground telegraphs before they show up, giving you more time to move (pre-position again) to the next edge before the next sequence of the mechanic.

Well done. I died once to many of the bosses throughout the expansion when running with NPCs, sometimes twice. I learnt the encounter then i progressed. Such is the natural way of things. You're protesting about learning and demanding failure be rewarded.

It takes me A very long time sometimes Months to get up enough courage to hit the Que button for the next dungeon or trial, If Dawntrail is this hard I just don't want to play.
My Anxiety is so much that my heart races and my hands shake which make it VERY hard to do mechanics. Then you get these Jerks like the person below you mocking when they don't know the struggles some of us have!!!
I just want to do the story, I wish there were options for people like me who seriously struggle to be able to click skip and just watch a cut scene.
I just want to finish the story, open new zones, Craft, Gather, and unsync lower level dungeons. I pray Yoshi Doesn't listen to the Jerks who have responded so hatefully to posts like this, they have ZERO Compassion, ZERO empathy! and only care about their selfish selves!
If you have such crippling social anxiety, then I'm sorry to tell you this, but a MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE (MMO) game is just not for you. If you want the story, there are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of YouTube videos or thousands of live streamers who play thru the story, and some who even voice act normally un-voiced cutscenes, for their content. I don't say this to be mean, but this is just someone who needs to learn to either get over their problems, or accept them and stay in their lane.

This sounds to me like you fail at learning from your failures on your own, so the simple solution is to seek outside advice. Sometimes some people just need a separate set of eyes to figure something out, and usually, once they see the thing that's wrong, they never unsee it. So, maybe, just don't run with NPCs your first time thru, that way, you can ask questions to other living players who can answer your questions, you can learn, and then do the mechanics with or without other people. In short, just stop being stubborn.
