My Anxiety is so much that my heart races and my hands shake which make it VERY hard to do mechanics. Then you get these Jerks like the person below you mocking when they don't know the struggles some of us have!!!
I just want to do the story, I wish there were options for people like me who seriously struggle to be able to click skip and just watch a cut scene.
I just want to finish the story, open new zones, Craft, Gather, and unsync lower level dungeons. I pray Yoshi Doesn't listen to the Jerks who have responded so hatefully to posts like this, they have ZERO Compassion, ZERO empathy! and only care about their selfish selves!
If you have such crippling social anxiety, then I'm sorry to tell you this, but a MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE (MMO) game is just not for you. If you want the story, there are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of YouTube videos or thousands of live streamers who play thru the story, and some who even voice act normally un-voiced cutscenes, for their content. I don't say this to be mean, but this is just someone who needs to learn to either get over their problems, or accept them and stay in their lane.

Agreed, I find very counterintuitive to play a multiplayer game that's basically Co-op without expecting social interaction. Honestly I'd even dare to say that's one of the main selling points of these kind of games and it doesn't have to do anything close with gaming skill.
If you like the game despite of not liking some aspects of it, then expect to play a game with parts you'll have issues with.

I also believe that these kind of videogames have the potential to help us be better, even if that's not what they're designed to... Maybe complimenting someone's glam could start a friendship? Or not, but trying and overcoming that hard moment could be a good practice...
I have some of that anxiety myself irl and some people one day saw me crafting a broom minion...I made those for them and I taught them how to craft, it's been years and I'm still at their FC but at that time I just wanted to be left alone, I'm glad I wasn't.

No. This game is for everyone, including those with social anxiety. It is up to other players to be kind and supportive because that's what decent people do. We lift each other up, we don't tell them to get lost if they struggle.

I disagree with this. It's not up to the players to do anything. People can be, do and say whatever they want online. I could argue that it should be up to society all around the world, online or offline, to be kind and supportive. Are they? No, of course not. Because they don't have to be. The benefit of an online community, however, is that you can report them to the developers for them to handle. If they get banned for their actions, then that's karma served. But it shouldn't be expected of people to adhere to any particular ideology.

You could not be MORE wrong about this. If someone approaches you and says, "hey, I'm struggling with X, do you think you could help me, please?" Then, yes, absolutely, be a supportive individual and help. But if that same individual is unable to approach anyone and ask for help, which is exactly what crippling social anxiety prevents people from doing, yet can muster up the courage to cry on a forum that the game is too tough, no, they don't "deserve" to keep playing this game.

By and large, gaming is very similar to sports, and not everyone is cut out for every sport, just like how not everyone is cut out for every game contrary to what your statement suggests. Not everyone is equipped with the necessary tools and/or skill set to play every kind of game, just like how a basketball player does not have the tools and skill set to play football. The DIFFERENCE between video games and sports, especially a video game like XIV, is that the ability to be good doesn't boil down to the typical 40/60 of talent and effort like sports does. Literally everything in this game can be taught, can be learned and can be completed by anyone, barring special, extraordinary circumstances. However, this game does not teach us everything about itself, and if someone is struggling, no one will know unless they speak up. Again, the crippling social anxiety prevents this, and thus, I say again, either the poster of my original reply needs to get over their anxiety and learn to deal with it or stop playing because this game is not for them.

This actually highly confuses me. We have people who are too afraid of doing even dungeons in DF out of fear that 3 other people will judge them but have no problem posting about it to a forum where potentially hundreds of people will judge them instead. I guess it just doesnt make logical sense.

Sadly, this is not how reality works. Not every game is for everyone. Not every genre is for everyone.
Souls games being the perfect exemple of that.

Doesn’t Duty Support exist for every piece of story content in the game? You can do the entire thing with NPC party members now, who also usually show you the perfect way to resolve mechanics

Why do a lot of those posts advocating for harder content need to be so rude and/or condescending? There's enough hard content in the game, it's almost as if you don't want any casual players in the game anymore, or as if those players are beneath you?

There are people in this world, believe it or not, who just want to have fun because it's just a game. Just fun. They don't want to be frustrated by a ton of wipes, don't want to invest hours to learn exactly where to stand in every dungeon at what mechanic, and they certainly don't want a game to be a second job. I for one rather invest time in getting better at my real life job than wiping in some MSQ-dungeon. Also, the amount of dungeons in the game is huge, and I cannot even remember all the mechanics - so most of them being not that hard is actually a good thing.

But the solution to the problem can be very easy, there's multiple possibilities:
    - Let the MSQ-dungeons, or in general any dungeon we're forced to do, be easy, and make the optional ones hard. For me for example, the difficulty level of EW was just enough (minus a few bosses where I still struggle with some mechanics).
    - Make the msq-dungeons easy and implement a "expert"-version of those dungeons. Should not be that big of a problem.

There, problem solved. You guys can have your hard content, and us casuals can have the easier stuff.
