What do you mean I can't handle the mobs? When I tank I pull and tank everything including those DPS and healers pull for me in the off chance that they somehow manage to run ahead.

The problem here is some of them are here trying to justify and normalize this "off-chance".
I'm not saying YPYT is justifiable, but I think some of you are disingenuous and treat other party members like shit just to be sweaty.

There's nothing to normalize. It's already normal. If someone running ahead of you pisses you off then you have an ego problem.

Being physically in front of the tank isn't reportable... especially if they cluster with whatever is hitting them for aoe.
It's mostly irrelevant, you just aoe as normal and things are fine- be it as a tank or dps, just stack together and spam aoe. Easy.
Who the hell even brought this example up.
XIV has no aggro management anyway. Not anymore.

Absolutely not. The moment you land your AoE, you gain the aggro back in no time and unless the DPS go out of their way to not place the mobs in the range of your AoE. Tanks are supposed to be competent enough to do as much and that's what every DPS that pulls aheads expect of them: to be competent.

DPS and healers can handle them on the short span it takes you or any tank to do the AoE combo and then some. If you're that petty to not do that, it's on you. Specially because you should be doing AoE in those scenarios already.
