    If i'm not mistaken, its mostly people who let the bios "optimize" the OC settings for the CPU. Mine has been set to "follow intel's voltage stock settings" or whatever that option is called. Basically my BIO's is set to not OC the CPU on its own. It's set to 100% intel standards.

    The only thing that I have turned on is my memory XMP profile. But even this isn't that egregious. It's 6000mhz ram.

    The people with issues are the ones using like 8000mhz ram and letting the motherboard auto OC the CPU as far as I know motherboards add a ton of extra voltage if you allow them to do it and cause many instability issues. I'm not an expert at this but that's my understanding of it.
