Product quality and Maintenace are 2 entirely separate issues. I'm all for providing feedback and holding game developers accountable.

Throwing a hissy fit and demanding compensation for what is a minor inconvenience for the sake of fixing game breaking issues isn't justifiable. My approach is direct and probably a little insensitive sure, but we could also just not have the game at all like the xbox players who had to suffer being unable to access a product they purchased just like everyone else.

It's not white knighting just because it's not all rainbows and sunshine. Everyone who's been around in XIV for a while knows that the dev team is pretty good about trying to make Maintenace as little of a disruption for as many folks as possible whenever they can.
