It should also be noted that the poll is biased and an incredibly stupid idea because it's comparing the final finished form of FFXI in its prime to the still incomplete, in the middle of being rebuilt FFXIV. Try waiting for FFXIV's prime (well past 2.0) and then start comparing them.

Things aren't going to stay exactly as they are, however some things are in a mostly finished state so you're all going to just have to deal with it or find another game. It's funny how obnoxiously entitled a lot of people seem to be on here just because they asked for our opinion a few times and occasionally listen when something is quite broken (dye stats, PLD, claiming system). Despite that though the dev team tends to do what they want. Yoshida has a vision for the game and he's not going to let us destroy that lol.

Also yeah, you can't tell people to go back to FFXI because as we all know FFXI is long dead and stopped service a long time ago. Kind of like how they never made Episodes 1-3 of Star Wars or how the only iterations of Devil May Cry are 1, 3 and 4 or how there was no direct sequel to FFX.




Actually your poll is incredibly flawed because a vast majority of players don't even come to the forum and let's not forget the large number that didn't vote because your poll is obnoxious and biased. All you've shown is that FFXI purists like voting in biased polls that treat FFXI as god's gift to MMOs.

Within the first 10 words of this thread I stated this was of the forum goes only. As for stupid and bias, those are like your opinions man. I also already stated that I don't even have the fleeting notion that this thread will change the game in any way shape or form. I did not create it to change Yoshi's mind. I made it because I wanted to see how many people want Hardcore Vs. Casual renditions of FFXIV's future.

I never compared it to FFXI's finished content, more or less the general way they went around it. More difficult mobs is hardly Post-Zilart concepts.

More importantly. These highlight examples aside. Do you want the Devs to create a game that will truly challenge the player base? That forces close bonds with friends and makes every day you play memorable? To stop creating in shortcuts for those unwilling to put in the effort?

You're outright asking, in your first post, if people want the devs to create something and to make the game different. What other reason would you have for creating such a poll if not to show "Well devs this is what people want, you should probably do it." ?
