Like I said, I knew nothing of the old system and my comments were only regarding current series malmstone rewards. I don't think a newer player like me should have an opinion on such prestigious older rewards, but it sure would be cool to see them around more often, now knowing their history.
Thanks! Honestly it was super stressful for me because I was going to school and working, so everyday it was a little tense XD. During the end of every season in the final week all the rankings went dark and the leaderboard didn't update. So you would never be 100% sure if you were gonna make the cut unless you were really far up the leaderboard, and sometimes the leaderboards would change a lot during that dark week.

I think one of the reasons why a lot of people are a bit against the rewards coming back is because a lot of people went through tons of stress during those seasons.

There was a lot of players who win traded or threw games to try to obtain the rewards by cheating, which made it super mega stressful for any of us playing legit during the time frame. Not all pvpers did this mind you, but it gave the community a really bad reputation.

I think its okay for people to ask for items they've missed, we just see this thread pop up a lot and some people get really passionate about it every time it does.

I do also agree it would be nice to see them around more often, I'm sure most people with the early season rewards have probably quit the game. It was only the top 100 per Data center so in some cases I think there were 800 or less items given out, and since it was so many years ago it makes sense that a lot of people might have moved on.

For a really long time pvp wasn't being supported very well and with all the changes they kept making they lost players really fast. Around the end of Season 20 there was barely any pvp community left. This is partly what led to them creating Crystal Conflict with role free pvp to make it easier to pop and to try to do something different since past reworks of the feast didn't work.

It's also why there isn't any top 100 rewards for crystal conflict, the series pass basically took the place of those rewards, many people complained about the top 100 rewards being to exclusive and too stressful. So they made changes to pvp to try to make things as stress free as they could.

I can't speak on how well it was received, it seems the reworks to pvp was taken well, but now there's a larger pvp community that wants rewards and they don't have any rewards really to speak of.
