I mean, it's not hard to pay your way into it either, and we know he has bot accounts for rmt. What makes anyone think he wouldn't use those to throw matches for himself.
There is nothing he can say at this point that will ever convince me otherwise because of his admissions to other things.
You reap what you sow.
Ur talking to the FF14 community who believes every world progger is a speedhacking zoomhacker, every t100 PvPer is a wintrading cheater, and every Saint of the Firmament is a botter.

There is no prestige to the items anymore. They are exceedingly rare to the point that an overwhelming majority of players don't even know what they are.
Many of these are effectively items that don't exist anymore which is a waste of a potential rewards to get people into ranked CC.
Hell... you could make it so that each recolor is attached to hard achievements such as - "Win 500 Ranked CC matches as DPS at Platinum+ for Red Hellhound", "Win 1000 Ranked CC matches as Tank at Platinum+ for Blue Hellhound", etc etc. Despite the Field Commander's Coat not being FOMO and out for years, it's still a fairly rare item to have so it's not like there would be a flood of Shadowstalker armor out there.
Yes - the experience isn't the same, but neither are PvE rewards. Doing UCoB now is nowhere close to UCoB on release, yet you don't have that many people crying about people getting the UCoB weapons now. Why should PvP be the exception to FFXIV's general reward philosophy?
Yes. I would put in the same effort and so would many other people.I'm a little curious.
What if the PvP rewards did make a comeback, maybe recurringly so, but with the same requirements to get them, through top PvP ranks.
Would the "No FOMO" people be happy to finally get the chance to get it, or would the complaints go from "No FOMO" into "Why only through PvP again? I can't get to top 100 so I'll never get it!"
I guess what I'm asking is; Would people who wish for PvP rewards to make a comeback be willing to put the same time and effort into obtaining them as they were originally?
Currently, there is no reason to do ranked, so why bother. In the past, limited rewards only served to turn people away because they didn't believe they could get it in time due to skill or simply time issues that particular season, so why bother.
If it was added as a permanent addition to ranked its a goal that is always there to achieve when people are ready to step up to the challenge, just like every other hard achievement in the game. It would incentivize more people to continue to try, to improve, and ultimately make the scene healthier. Just like how Field Commander set encourages people to fill Seal Rock and actually try. Sometimes taking years to get it.
Would everyone be happy? No. People complain about things being added to PvP period regardless of how easy it is to get. People complain about Savage rewards despite them being permanent additions that are basically free in about a year's time. But nothing that is as substantial as glamours/mounts should be completely impossible to get forever.

You could not even if you wanted. PvP back then was completely different and much harder. For you to be able to put in the same effort as people back then did, Squeenix would have to recreate the same circumstances as back then.

Make new pvp rewards to earn, prestige is a thing. You don't get a gold medal for participation. With this mentality you might as well hand all the rewards in the game to everyone. Necromancer title, all the ultimate weapons, all the savage mounts. Having something that is hard to get and had to be earned / has to be earned is the crux of an MMO, making your character unique, having people asking where you got something etc etc. The solution? Make more hard to get items, glam, mounts, gear, housing items, titles etc for people to earn and grind towards or bring them back, but make them a top 100 thing again. Don't beg for the easy way out, have some class.

You realize all those pve things are still available right? And have gotten easier because of job changes over the years.
Pvp bros really hate anyone having similar things they do.
Maybe they should start locking cool pvp stuff behind pv3, since they did the reverse. You know, for fairness.

The augmented hellhound glam is a good start.Yes. I would put in the same effort and so would many other people.

You could release past Feast rewards for 2 or 4 commendation crystals (which requires dia+). Then make a new "glowy" version for t100. And this time open up a glam shop in Wolves' Den where you can buy any previous rewards by buying it with tokens from Dia/Crystal, and t100.
But I am 100% against releasing these past rewards for wolf marks or some other easy-to-get currency.
Lmao, this game's community just hates any skill check.Make new pvp rewards to earn, prestige is a thing. You don't get a gold medal for participation. True many of those things are still available. Guess why barely anyone has Necromancer for example? Cause only a few are willing to put in the work for it. The circumstances of getting them have not changed unlike PvP.You realize all those pve things are still available right? And have gotten easier because of job changes over the years.

I started shortly before HW Released. Guess i should start spamming Threads for the 1.0 Tattoo cause "i never had a chance to get it". It is only fair right?
