What’s the point of even having EN forums if our only real recourse is to try to auto translate our way through the JP forums for a hope of being heard

When the two sides of the forum disagree, the devs can't satisfy everyone, they'll go with the side they are familiar with. If they did what these forums are screaming for, they would alienate the Japanese players.

When I've seen western players ask Japanese players about this on the forums, they tend to get responses indicating that Japanese players prefer the current situation because it generates less stress. They don't seem to want complex kits, and would rather focus on doing mechanics while healing when needed.

There's a pretty big cultural divide between the fanbases, and the development team are always gonna side with their home audience. Those are the people y'all need to convince.

It is interesting dilemma.

I am reminded of old school MMOs like Lineage II which had pure support jobs like Shillien Oracle. Developers created these with expectation that there would be actual people willing to play these heal-bot jobs...

I dont know how realistic or impactful this strike is going to be if a majority of it are still going to actively pay for and play the game.

This really just feels like a "cake and eat it too" scenario with people who have some good points and have a complaint, but still will actively engage in the medium that continues down the path based upon what is profitable. Good luck on it regardless.

Why is enjoying the game as a tank or a dps job performative nonsense? We're just trying to play the game, not learn a whole new language to argue with the Japanese or give more feedback that will be ignored. I thought everyone agreed, "if you don't like it play something else". That's the point.
