You clearly don't know healer mains. No we DO want to heal if we didn't then why in the world have we been asking TO do it for several years now. Stop taking us out of context and assuming a VERY untrue statement. Most of the folks who threatened to quit are striking or HAVE quit for a game where they're meaningful. We don't want EXCESS healing but nobody wants that, but that's completely different to saying we don't want to deal more. You're seeing these same complaints from people NEW to healing so that should make it pretty clear that people do.
Oh god not that quote lol, I mean I get it to a degree like making tanks and dps heal themselves well enough seems counter intuitive… the game just needs to have more punishing mechanics that will require healers lol. But yeah there is a lot of arm chair devs in here who think they have the solution but don’t know if that will work in the long term or if the majority would even want that. I will be following this space that’s for sure.
"You think you do, but you don't" Hasn't that been trademarked yet by SE?
We do want to heal - and DPS . (talk about a low-effort post)
I wouldn't assume that tbh. There is probably 2 sides.
I know I remember, long time ago, asking myself why no dungeons did damages. Now I don't care anymore. I do my usual daily experte (without any reward since I'm cap and don't need anything in them anyway) as healer dpsing.
I know it's a dungeon for people to chill while watching netflix and have gear a bit lower than savage. And that most people doing them are happy while some people like here, not.
Edit:
Yet another question. Why do you think it's better to do dungeons as tank or dps?
I mean, I do dungeons with every jobs for "fun" but I don't feel they are more engaging in other roles either. So why it's a problem as heal but not other roles ?

Clean everything before any nerf is my goal. No matter the time needed to reach the last hp and beat it.

All you gotta do to know there is a huge problem is try to do Eureka Orthos solo with a healer, a tank, and a DPS. It makes it really clear that the last 4 years of healer policy has failed, on top of so many other reasons (WAR making healers obsolete in dungeon content, mechanics in harder content instant killing parties instead of allowing healers to flex their recovery powers).

Thank you for bringing it up, mechanics are just 1 shotting people now which still defeats the point of a healer being there. We can't do anything about 1 shot mechanics, they're fine to exist but you need to balance them out vs non 1 shot attacks and this hasn't happened frankly since the 2.x series when Coil was the raiding scene. HW was better about it vs now but even it didn't get the balance right.I'm in!*

You have my book. I've long found XIV's focus on healer DPS to be obnoxious, but because of my love of the role I put up with it. But with it feeling more and more unnecessary to ever heal I just feel like a one button green turret half the time. More than half the time. I quit GW2 because they felt roles weren't necessary and group play felt so dumbed down, don't bring it here too.
LMAO HEALER STRIKE
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
I'll just sell healer queues for 50k a spot. np!
