    For me, the straw wasn't the dungeon with no healer, it was simply looking at the new skills each job is getting and seeing both tanks and DPS being loaded up with EVEN MORE HEALS. Especially warrior, the undisputed king of "I don't need a healer" getting a heal over time effect slapped onto shake it off, for some unholy reason.

    And when it comes to what I like about a healer, I like having to work an actual healing rotation, worry about procs, manage my mana, that kind of thing. I do NOT like having a healer that's just "You hit one button and everyone is full health now ". Take a look at WoW, where all healers have a variety of interactions between their heals, like if you put this heal over time on someone they take 25% more healing from your single target heal, or cast this one and this other one will cast 50% faster. And you have to make good use of these interactions if you want to keep up in mid to high end content, which makes it super satisfying when you pull it off.

    There's barely anything for anyone to do if tanks are effectively solo'ing casual content.

    Fixing healer rotations is important yet it is not the sole component to this issue, not even close.

    Why are you talking about those "specific" healer thing to do in those dungeons when you could ignore them.
    I mean, if the group wasn't REALLY bad you didn't need to care about the Lala or Estinen.
    If that happened it's the same as saying that everyone is walking randomly in aoe on purpose to give you things to heal (aka really bad team again)
    There is no more engaging stuff back then as healer than there is now, atleast for me. Did I miss something when I was lvling all my healers on expe and doing experte ?

    Real question since I'm playing since beta without any break.

    Edit: Having my dots with random timer or those mech you could ignore since day1 wasn't engaging. Was it for you? Really?
    The only thing that would make me happy is more damage but that's mean people gonna complain about it.

    You know what would be funny if out of all this SE make changes so that enemies do quadruple the damage they do now and healing spells cost 4 times as much as they do now in terms of MP, no one will survive those wall to wall pulls anymore.

    Actually you could not ignore estinien. He always took damage from the instant aoes from nidhogg and the line aoes baits that happen if you baited them towards him.

    I'll put my hat in for the strike, and see about getting my static to do it. If we can clear EX content without a healer, I will simply lock out the healer role and hope PF follows suit.

    Would be funny to see 'Titan Egi 2' nerfs.

    Please provide your feedback as to the conditions to end the strike and the date it should begin. I am thinking the strike will be officially underway when Dawntrail launches on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

    Well. I don't know how I did it back then while ignoring him. The only time I had to heal him was dps not dpsing and people baiting aoe on him. Otherwise you could totally ignore him.

    No, it's "not unexpected" because it's how it was in EW and thus is logical it would be that way in DT.
    I'd like to re-emphasize that dungeons, especially story ones, have to cater to the entire community's skill level.
    They do, but dungeons were easy back in Heavensward as well. The difference was the healer mattered and at least on a PLD, I wouldn't be able to get through it solo. I didn't have an ability like Holy Sheltron with a regen, a heal on Sentinel, unlimited uses of clemency or spells like Holy Spirit and Blade of Faith with heals on. The auto-attacks hurt a lot.

    I'd also point out that wiping is alright. I want new players to die or wipe at least once to a dungeon. In fact, if they don't, it makes a lot of them think the game is too easy and causes some of them to quit.

    I also think everyone is underestimating new player healers - I literally have done giant pulls with sprout healers for 8 years now. From that experience, I can tell you that sprout healers have no trouble healing these pulls whatsoever. I worried that they might not handle it, but that's virtually never been the case, even in expansions where I need their heals. All they have to do to keep me alive is cast Cure. It's not rocket science.
    I'd point to my statement about engaging with content that centers the role more prominently.
    I'd point out that some of that content can easily have the tank survive for ages alone as well, including savage, as I explained a few posts before yours.
    It seems silly to be upset about content not challenging you when you refuse to engage with content meant to do just that.
    Seems like an assumption that healers don't do that content.

    The only good thing I can see on this subject is that there will be more midcore content in Dawntrail anyway, in the form of a Field Operation.
