They aren't the sole reason obviously but you also would have to be living under a rock to not notice how large the venue scene is now.

How big compared to the people who play for the game's content (MSQ, Sidequests, dailies, ect.)?

I do agree that ERP is a large part of the game's community now.

And that's a bad thing.

When I take the time to speak to new players these days, more often than not I hear that they joined because of their friends telling them about roleplay or the venue life we have here, not because of the actual story or content of the game. Of course there are some but it's definitely not the majority.

And how often do you go around asking new players?
