You created a thread topic on a public forum everyone who plays the game. There is a near 100% chance you are going to have someone show up who will challenge your perspective and there is also a chance most people will not agree with your opinions, which it is clear there are a lot of users of the forums who disagree with your opinions.
Having been from the ARR era of the game, current job complexity has been significantly reduced in an effort to standardize encounters and job rotations around a roughly 2 minute (120 second) rotation. Due to this standardization and the fact FFXIV as a game does not lock you into a specific class/job/etc, there will exist players (especially those who started a long time ago such as myself) who have noticed this standardization over a period of time affecting a lot of the jobs in the game, particularly jobs that came into the game at an earlier point in the game's life cycle.
I, along with some others in this thread, reject this standardization/homogenization of the classes that we play/played as it leads to very bland job design across the board and results in jobs contained inside of a specific role to feel the same as another in the role, but with salt and pepper added to it to make it slightly less bland. You are on the other side of this argument thus are going to feel attacked every time I or anyone else goes after what you like. We are as entitled to have and share our opinions as much as you are.
We are not only FFXIV players, we are also FFXIV payers. We pay money to be able to play a game that we want to enjoy in one shape or another. It is not selfish to want more from a product that we actively pay a certain sum of money on a regular basis to have access to, particularly when some of the things we want access to were, at one point in time, inside of the game and were removed instead of preserved (such as making a new job to preserve the playstyle/features of another job that were removed). All of us are entitled to leave opinions about the product/service we are actively paying for.
I can relate this to being a regular at a restaurant. If, over time, the items on the menu started to appear more or less the same, options were removed from the menu, and the quality of the ingredients was reduced all while the cost of going to said restaurant remained the same or even potentially went up, are you going to going to continue going to that restaurant or are you going to start looking elsewhere? Where I live, I have stopped going to restaurants for this exact reason despite not wanting to go look somewhere else, but I cannot deny the reduction in quality or getting less for the same amount of money.
It is clear to me having read the thread that, over time, you have become considerably more irate and are willing to insult those who have come after you. You haven't convinced me or anyone else in the thread with any of your posts or tags you have attached to the thread of changing our positions. While you do not need to heed my advice, you should probably take a break from posting since you have devolved into attacking people with insults. The only "loser" here is you if you continue to act the way that you are.
