I'm not sure what your intent is in joining the discussion and adding comments like this. Sure, healer job design have shifted from the more dps oriented focus, but does this actually benefit the game?

Right now I find both damaging and healing less interesting than previous expansions. Damage taken isn't varied and often enough and im not exactly sweating like i did when healing coils MINE. Consequently, the lack of damage leads me to use my dps tools, which is sorely lacking. The dps tools we have right now is too simplistic. If you disagree with this, feel free to provide an example.

You can argue that encounter design should be changed, but even with 12 savage fights most encounters miss the mark when it comes to fun healing. Not even mentioning the difference in difficulty for normal, ex, savage etc.. How does an encounter design focused on healing satisfy players of different skill level and healing output? Someone only pressing cure 2 might find Tower of Zot difficult, but someone using all their tools will still be bored.

I don't see a lot of great argument going against a dps rotation but i would love to be proven wrong.
