Viera Changes

Overall, the viera face look largers, as if they've collectively been stung by bees. It's weird. And the changes in lightning makes it look like their eyes are further apart than in the old look. Honestly, I'm glad I don't play a Viera (I'll just have to modify one of my retainer), because male like female, the update feels like a downgrade.

Benchmark has Gamma Correction at 50 by default it kills the colours. I retook same screenshot at 0 correction like I have it in game and it's much better colour wise. Black hair is still too grey though.


Whole face is almost completely 1:1. Especially eyes. I put both pictures on top of each other and played with transparency to compare. Eye shape doesn't change at all. Lips are bad I agree, but it seems to be an issue across all races.

To be fair, your's is one of the few I've seen that gueninely look good with the update.

Lips are afaik mostly just a result of the fact that you no longer have stark black shadows wherever light doesn't directly touch.

Yeah, more pronounced shadows between lips and at the corners would certainly make them look better.

Thank the twelve for that! A lot of characters got hit pretty badly and it sucks. My fem au ra looks 10 years older and sleep deprived now (just like me fr fr).

To be fair, your's is one of the few I've seen that gueninely look good with the update.

I think darkskinned characters benefitted from it mostly.

For me the lips are the things that need the most work.
I use face 2 and it looks like the lipstick doesnt line up with the actual lips. Looks very wierd. And also the details of the upper lips is gone its just a straight line and doesnt look realistic.

And the thicker default eyeliner is too much
