Otherwise they are dead wards. Mainly held by multi house owners or players who only login to keep their virtual property.

So tell me how keeping it as it currently is is a good idea?
It's just personal preference for some.

If there are that many players that truly enjoy the wards over a better instanced system, no reason to get rid of what has already been made.

But they need to stop adding more wards when that isn't satisfying what players want (with this I'm referring to a player's ability to get the size/location option they want) and start putting resources into an enhanced instanced system. Most of the basics are already part of the housing system or in other parts of the game.

Replace the boring default interior architecture with art textures and backgrounds used in the open world zones. Make the exterior fixtures into optional proper house frame furnishings for those who don't want to go freestyle with their housing design. They've got the potential to make the best MMORPG housing system ever without having to start over from scratch with the ability to let players choose between wards or instances.
