XIV's loot system is so alt-unfriendly it's absurd.

The real problem isn't that people would leave, it's that people would stay subbed and complain here for months because they played for 10 or so hours a day to get their BiS in one week and now have nothing to do.

Imagine the situation if there was no unofficial ladder via that site that gives funny color rankings. The need to even have BiS is partially due this site existing, as without parses nobody would care about numbers to get gear and extra runs to improve them.
