It's a much nicer design, yes. And ironically, the sense of destruction we get on Lost Ark only brings out the "cute" side of the character. A little lalafel with a paintbrush singing in a field of flowers... And BOOM, AN INK WHALE IN YOUR FACE.

Yup, would play that.

I'm not sure it's an inspiration, though. The pictomancer existed in FF before Lost Ark.
