There's also that whole chunk of people that probably never played MH before World that immediately labeled Rise/Sunbreak as garbage due to being made for the Switch because no 60FPS 4K resolution visuals. (Even though World/Iceborn couldn't hit that framerate on PS4/Pro hardware. Not bothered to look if it runs 60fps on a PS5 as a PS4 title)

TBH I feel like a lot of game devs need to study a number of Switch titles as it has proven to be able to deliver impressive visuals and large worlds despite it's lower spec hardware. The file size for the games is a lot smaller too which is mostly due to much of the excessive "fluff" code for visual details most people playing titles on PS and Xbox don't even know exist in the games they play on them being removed to reduce load on the hardware.

Probably. Overall the decline of rise players and increase of world players is not likely tied to anything with Rise but more the campaign on capcom's end.

Though it does amuse me that each entry in the franchise turns the folks from the last one into a bunch of "Back in my day!" types towards the latest entry. World folks giving Rise folks the same shit that old players gave World folks when World was new.

Shortly after announcing Wilds, they started doing a whole #ReturnToWorld thing, alongside out of left field stuff like full steam deck support for World. Basically, they are just getting people used to World's style again, cause Wilds is likely gonna be very close to World in terms of combat and exploration.
