Many do yearly plays of their fav games or a friend of mine will rewatch a show yearly so to me that's not exactly like 'bro that's so weird you do that' for me. I would say as someone who cheese levelled most of my classes through bozja....I think I dislike bozja way more then Eureka and I think its because it was all one colour scheme and the scenery was samey which deflated it all. Eureka at least did make each location visually different in my book.

This forum is full of people who armchair dev and think they could fix the game by doing X.Y.Z but any community has that issue and not even exclusively here. Sometimes people just want a game to improve for their sake rather then the ripple affect it could have negatively to others. There are some good ideas that come out here though and I think devs would be able to find those quality ideas amongst the sea of questionable ones.
I think one of the disappointing things about this game coming from a wow background is how it doesn’t feel like there is any community interaction day to day. I’ll be honest I don’t think most people have any idea where SE actually gets feedback on the game as a whole. In wow especially around upcoming expansions there was a ton of community interactions, there are discords for each job, there are forums (and forums for beta builds) as well as high level avenues to provide feedback. And the thing there is- you can see the developers regularly interact with the playerbase, even if they disagree with the feedback.

I don’t see that in this game and personally, I don’t like it. So maybe it’s a bit of an overreaction but I prefer not to take chances.

I find it strange that blizzard can use a public test server...release content well in advance and still not listen to feedback...or still release broken content, unbalanced classes etc etc. Diablo 4 is another example of blizzard just not listening to people. I will give some credit to the 14 team outside of some bugs with EW patches they release their content without test servers and manage to do most of the QA internally. You have to also remember the team and budget wow gets is much higher...I do hope CBU3 expands more to have a new project division and the 14 MMO division. I feel for ESO players....they just get pooped on a yearly basis and we have people here talking about content longevity....I know its not the point and we should expect better but we don't have it as bad as other communities. But we can strive for better and I am on board with that.

I've been tempted to make an alt just to play a different character once in a while, and if I ever do I'll be doing the MSQ a second time at that point.
I intend to do new game + once some of the graphics update changes come through as I haven't played ARR-SB in many years and I wouldn't mind replaying it at some point.

The only thing they do is release buggy / overtuned content and then gaslight people like you that dont even do the content that they ToTaLly TeStEd it and mock high end players that they must "just be bad"

If you actually did content youd realize that this game would massively benefit from a test server

Only thing I haven't done is ultimate, criterion savage and some pandemonium savages. I tend to not really enjoy that content type or I go back much later on and play it when it is 'even easier' but from all the MMOs I've played over the years I don't feel this game needs a test server honestly. WoW and ESO do not benefit greatly from it...its not any different they keep screwing with things or not listening to what people want. Not saying it wouldn't benefit from it cause it probably would but its not in a dire way that it needs one asap. I don't feel gaslit by the devs in the slightest, I just sit in the back and benefit mainly from people like yourself who spend most of their time being critical of aspects. I love the game, I have spent 7k hours in it....I have taken breaks I am playing other stuff and hey if I get a better game from it so be it at the behest of you and others being vocal.

Also to another post I can't even second screen the game as I play on PS5...even have it on my steamdeck lol I don't think I have ever second screened or had this on the side...not even during this whole post patch fiasco. I just log in do what I want and leave I don't see the need to try and squeeze blood from stone. I would love to spend more time here but in its current state I can actually go through my backlog or watch shows or work on my hobbies. Beforehand I was putting in so much time into this game because I like a lot of the content types it provides and that was at the cost of every other release in the last few years so now I am glad to let content build up for a 6.55 - 7.0 binge.

A lot of people feel that way but it depends who you are. If you are in the Novice Network, an active FC, hunt linkshells (especially spawner and conductor linkshells) or do alliance raids, hunts, roleplaying, pugging or activities with a static a lot, then there is lots of interaction. There also was in Eureka and Bozja but I don't know if there is still much there now. If you talk in some of the thousands of FFXIV discord servers regularly or use social platforms such as twitch, twitter or youtube, there is lots of interaction as well.

From playing the game themselves, watching popular youtube channels, and managing the social platforms such as twitter. But there is obviously a translation barrier here since the developers are japanese and we are writing in English.

There were discords for each job but they became a single discord called The Balance and they have a website now too. No official ones for the game of course.

But the developers here are Japanese. And if they spent all day getting trolled on the forums they wouldn't develop anything.

In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

Even in the balance the conversation remains the same. People also complain that their feedback falls on deaf ears. If devs are in the balance no one really is aware of it.
