    If you don't like seeing the mounts because you want it but don't wanna spend the money, I can get that for sure.
    The fact that they are a different team is irrelevant in that case, what i mean by "worse" is that it de-incentivize making the game better and investing resources in it to do so if they can rely more and more on the mogstation for income. It's a matter of optimizing the number, do the bare minimum put people on other project, monitor how it goes try to push the limit little by little and if the revenue metrics are still up even if they lose a few players here and there, that's all good.

    That's how i see the cash shop success impacting negatively on the game.

    Now i might be wrong and maybe 7.0 will be the best expansion FF14 ever had but right now i feel like the last year and a half have been quite underwhelming even after taking a lot of break.

    Without a good game that people want to play, the Mogstation would stop making money. After all, what is on it is only useful when you are playing the game.

    If anything, it should be incentivizing them to make the game better. The happier customers are, the more they will spend on additional products (if they have the means).

    The way we earned something, the "suffering" does not make the item more desirable. The value is a bond between the item and us, in a more subtle way than the sweat we dropped
    I'm thinking similar to you though maybe not exactly the same.

    Satisfaction can come from having a story about how something was obtained. That how doesn't have to be related to long grinds and "suffering", it just needs to have a component that's memorable.

    Mount music is repetitive and annoying.
