Yea of course, anyone can answer because it's going to be a subjective thing. If you just want a grind to do, anyone can come up with a list of stuff for you to chew through (I'd be willing to create one).

I mean, I just want something to provide fulfillment to the midcore playerbase. I feel like outside of extremes, there isn't much. For the "casual" side of the game (and I use casual lightly since that term gets some hate but pretty much anyone not willing to do any form of harder content falls into that category) there's RP, MSQ, Variant, Housing, Island Sanctuary, Crafting/Gathering (since it's been gutted to be braindead)...I can go on. The hardcore side of the game has savage, ultimate, criterion, solo grind for deep dungeons, etc. Midcore really only had extremes and the relic grind and now the relic grind is being gutted to fit the "casual" side of the game in terms of making it achievable just by doing your dailies or hunts for an hour or two (it's literally nothing different than going for a tome weapon without the extra mat).

It's just disappointing that there's no real coverage for those that fall in the middle and feels like the game is being taken in a direction where you have to pick a side.

And no need to do that, I'm already working on the pteranodon so I'm set on my long term grind.

As for the topic of getting new content, we do. Consistently. It might not be at fast pace but we do get new content. All of it might not be of interest to you which is why my go to suggestion is to play what does appeal to you then when you get bored, take a break. I have no interest in pvp, savage, or ultimates. If one was released that suddenly did appeal to me then I'd be happy and play it, otherwise I ignore it. I'm genuinely not sure of the issue here.
The non-PvP, Savage and Ultimate content we've gotten thus far has been extremely milquetoast and lukewarm at best. Say what you will about Bozja and Eureka, and maybe they're no longer kicking around now as much as they were back then but even still they lasted longer than the likes of Criterion and Variant Dungeons have thus far. Just like those two, once you're finished with Eureka Orthos you're literally done with it. This is what people are criticizing, not the amount of content but the longevity of it.

I can only speak for myself of course, but I understand where some other posters' irritation is coming from. Personally? I don't want to unsub and take a break, I want more to do. The usual advice of forumgoers around here is extremely unhelpful at best, I'm afraid.

I preferred Bozja and Eureka because they came with a story. I'd already experienced Hildibrand, so these relics offer precious little in comparison to Bozja and Eureka insofar as story is concerned. Also, there were cool mounts and glams attached to those zones like Proto-Ozma and the Law's Order sets. Part of the appeal of acquiring those glams and mounts was that I actually had to work towards it as well, finally getting that rad glam I wished for felt like an actual achievement. Not to mention Auracite lore and the Queen was really cool imo.

So, at least for me, I'd very much prefer an irritating grind for Relics due to all the extra bells and whistles that came with. The journey is worth the destination to me, Endwalker's content so far has not managed to capture that same mystique in that regard.

I feel like a lot of players forget that the change in Relic acquisition affects casuals and midcore players just as much as it does the more involved raiders. I'm not a raider, and yet I still developed a fondness for Bozja/CLL/DR and the Eureka zones.
