I sure as hell don‘t miss redoing high level crafts multiple times (with reclaim back then) just get decent hasty touch, or good condition + tricks of the trade rng to complete something.
But that was only in Heavensward. Stormblood crafts are all macro-able, but there are ways to squeeze out even more profits with Reuse if you had great pentamelds (which were far more expensive back then), and you had the option to play with Whistle mechanics. It was accessible for both casual players and people who are into crafting. In order to appease the modern ShB/EW player, however, any sort of complexity is removed and what you get in Expert crafting barely makes up for the sophisticated Whistle mech.
