so why arent they here backing up your "hot take"?

I really wish they'd stop coddling the rmt bot players. They should start actually banning players who bot and especially those who participated in rmt.

Urdnot Wrex is my spirit animal.
It would be nice if the forum mods could do some forum moderating at some point.

While I agree with the idea behind this, how do you go about it?
How do you prove that Player X engaged in RMT and wasn't just part of the RP "let us use /roll and if you win I give you 50 million gil" crowd? (Yes, I've actually seen that happen once.)
I ask because if just once they banned a player for RMT that didn't, even if just for a few hours, the consequences could be catastrophic. As I understand, they do go after people who engage in RMT, but (reasonably) make sure they KNOW it's RMT and not just something that might look like it without context.
I made my own motivation and they must make theirs. They will not improve whatsoever otherwise.

I'm pretty sure you made the post you linked to in here LOLDSR/TOP were some of the hardest Ultimate fights yet, and to the median Ultimate raider was probably harder than on-patch UCoB.
And yet... We have the modern casual FF14 player, who freaks out when being asked to pull wall to wall. Who panics when being asked to tank a single add in Titania. Who cries that the Dead Ends is too hard and is "Savage" (yes, this really happened: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/452783).

I just wanna say: Cleric Stance was never fun.
