Why is getting BiS such a big deal for non-savage/casual players? Cuz like, the only thing I can think of is... What, being able to kill a trash mob that spawns during a patch MSQ quest with one less attack? Wowie zowie, that 2.5 seconds you saved is definitely worth taking away any sort of exclusivity (even if only of timing) that savage raiders get for spending the time to grind out a fight.

Why is getting BiS such a big deal to hardcore raiders when they've usually cleared the content without it in the first place?

You're not going to need it for the next raid release (unless there's an Ultimate coming). New crafted gear will be released with a higher ilvl. And having it equipped is just nerfing the difficulty of everything around you at the same time there are raiders complaining that things are getting too easy.

Casual players have to wait to get their shinies. Hardcore players have to wait to get theirs. Sounds like everyone being treated the same.

Personally I don't mind the loot/tome lockouts when the tier is brand new, but it lasts for WAY too long as it is. Both tomestones and raid drops should be 100% unrestricted when the subsequent major patch drops. At that point there is no point in continuing to restrict it, especially when there are sometimes ultimates releasing a week after said patches.

Did you try reading the rest of what I posted there? Because I did mention Ultimate. And it's only needed for Ultimate assuming there is one and better gear hasn't been released.

Why should raiders be an exception when the rest of the player base has to wait to get their gear over time?
