Personally I don't mind the loot/tome lockouts when the tier is brand new, but it lasts for WAY too long as it is. Both tomestones and raid drops should be 100% unrestricted when the subsequent major patch drops. At that point there is no point in continuing to restrict it, especially when there are sometimes ultimates releasing a week after said patches.
Ultimates, making reclears easier, because they want it.
Mainly so we don't have to listen to players complain that they played using an IV and a pee bottle for 3 weeks straight and now that they're out of hospital there's nothing in the game to do.
Also, WoW has loot lockouts everywhere on M+ and Mythic raids so dunno why you are thinking this is a FF14 only thing.
Did you try reading the rest of what I posted there? Because I did mention Ultimate. And it's only needed for Ultimate assuming there is one and better gear hasn't been released.
So outside of Ultimate, the same reasons that any one wants gear.
Why should raiders be an exception when the rest of the player base has to wait to get their gear over time?
Yes i know you mentioned it, but you brushed it aside like it wasnt a viable reason lmao. And some BiS changes happen 2 patches AFTER the ult drops, so no, better BiS for current savage doesnt get better gear in the next odd patch :]
Because they complete the harder content and should be rewarded? This cant be a serious take surely? Why should raiders be an exception when the rest of the player base has to wait to get their gear over time?
