Change/Remove Lalafell "Lifter"...

"And why do the children need that furniture? Because they are 3 feet tall. Why do the Lalafells need it? They're also 3 feet tall." Their height isn't the reason they need the furniture, they need it because they don't have a means to use regular furniture even if they wanted to without excessive strain assuming it was possible. Lalafell have massive hopping potential and have been seen in story flinging full grown midlanders etc. with ease as bodyguards to show their muscle potential, they don't "need" that furniture technically. They haven't needed it for years.

Their height isn't the reason they need it? Their "immense hopping potential" means they don't need a taller chair? What?? You realize kids use high chairs not because they're easy to get into, but because they literally can't reach over the table properly while sitting down, right? The Lalafell chair would actually be much harder to get into than a regular chair, so I don't understand what this "immense hopping potential" thing is about. Yes, it is blatantly obvious that they can get up into the chair by themselves. Kids generally need assistance to get into a high chair, while Lalafells can presumably jump up on their own, hence why the Lalafell Lifter has no safety mechanisms like a baby's high chair would. So what are you even trying to say here? Have you never met anybody who has kids? Lalafells would need the chair for the same reason that they literally need to stand up straight to reach the steering wheel in the Regalia mount, and for the same reason the "Lalafellin Steppin Stool" exists, because they are 3 feet tall.

To answer the first half, I won't speak on the generic public, but in regard to venues, the middle stance is a partially-political stance.

Okay, so the people who are neutral in this scenario are venue owners who don't care themselves, but need to pick a side of the community to appease. In which case I would argue that these people are never going to be persuaded by these pedantic arguments nitpicking details from the game, but by which side is louder, more annoying, and gives them more stress when they're just trying to chill after work and play their favourite video game. The argument "Lalafells are children because their chair looks like a baby chair" is essentially the same argument as "Lalafells are children because they look like children," and no venue owner who was not already persuaded by the latter argument is going to be persuaded by the former. As such they're likely just going to base their decision on the volume of requests from their community, and I still don't see how this chair is making a difference in this scenario.

Depends on what age we're talking about/what the purpose of the chair is. First impression was that this is one of those things that you sit on top of regular chairs to get higher as you mentioned, but irl there are already chairs at different heights relative to a table/counter that could be used. Some of the higher resting chair designs that could've been used would be harder for someone young like a child to get in naturally but a lalafell wouldn't have that issue. The Lalafellin Step Stool actually ends up being the same height as regular other stool housing items but has medium steps halfway up so you don't have to hop on top of it. I can understand the design choice by not hopping on top of a stool for Lalafell but they're hopping on top of chairs regardless of where the seat is at naturally or boosted.

And to answer how the chair makes a difference, it's because there are people such as myself that don't make the blanket statement that all lalafell look like children. There can be lalafell that look like children, but as you stated earlier, there are plenty in MSQ that look like adults including one's that even have significant sagging skin like one in Endwalker crafters may have seen, as well as those that can be designed in character creation that have a more mature appearance, whether that is facial hair, grey/white hair, less kidsy features in cheek and eye design, scars, voice chosen (some lalafell are notorious for this in JP voice acting), and clothing options. And that is outside of lore/commissioned more accurately depicting art, etc. etc. (part of those etc. being things I can't talk about on the forums *cough*). Sometimes, not all the time, even for those acting off emotions and not lore, this is a point they can sometimes concede. That's when other points come up such as the emotes etc. and now the chair. That's the next level for people like me to debunk when we're trying to make arguments for why their feelings are valid, but, there can be exceptions if the race is handled properly that they are okay with and no longer feel uncomfortable in those specific situations. This mostly comes as a result of new people coming to the game, skipping cutscenes etc. and not having a ready archive of every speech/topic that Yoshi-P has addressed and all they have is friends telling them lalafell are children because of x and x reason. So you have to retrain/educate people to make their own choice instead of just being part of the mob and that's one less voice to deal with when you can address every concern they have meaningfully.
