That is no more coercion than purchasing a house in Real Life with the expectation that there are no additional costs such as insurance and property taxes you will pay for the next 15-30 years. You may be unhappy with it, but you either pay it or lose your house.

It’s really something. Applying RL settings to a game where you’re supposed to have fun.
Then again he’s right in the sense that just like RL, SE will do anything to get to your wallet and force a sub.

So the whole « unsub and do something else » is bs.

If we have to apply RL stuff for « immersion » in the game, I want to be forced to sleep at least 7 eorzean hours per day, eat 3 meals a day, and take dumps on lalafells.
