No, it's not, not always, because there's absolutely no way to please absolutely everyone, and people do not just stick with one option. How you sit isn't even a customization of your character.

Sure, there's no definite ways to please everyone. But they are still trying to make the game customizable as possible, otherwise we wouldn't have old, undyable sets, retextured High Allagan/Crystal tower sets, older dyable sets that we got recently, and ungendered items. So I fail to see your point here. How you sit/idle/ect IS a way to customize your character believe it or not. Especially when you have choices lmao. Some people prefer to do the crossed arms. Some people prefer hand on hip. You choose an idle/pose based on what fits you yourself, or what you envision your character. That is called customization.
