I was thinking force pop NM's such as Alky/Pallas/Hakutaku.

I liked being able to get out of an event, and being able to kill some time by going to Delkfutt and slaying some Jotunn's for a couple of hours (Albeit, it is really fun when you have sam/dnc with Yoichinoyumi!), and possibly walking away with several million in gil from Alky Bracelets (not common).

To this day, not many items gave me that sense of joy like a "Moldy Buckler" (even typing it makes me want to go farm)

    What do you guys think?

Yeah. Alky/Pallas didn't used to be forced spawn, but it worked really well that way. Force spawns would be a good way to make money drops, since they definitely can't be monopolized.

True, I forgot to add that point. I camped them a little pre-force pop. But it was just nice being able to pop Alky 10+ times a day if you had the luck.

Granted, his bracelets were worth 45,000,000 before he became force pop. Which I guess goes to show how force pop NM's can effect the value of any given drop.

But it was a great time killer, and I had so much fun trying to break damage records while farming. If anyone can word up a nice little summary regarding force pop style NM's using trigger items, I'll add that to the front page. I'd do it but I'm at work :/

    All for it /thumbsup

You have to spend a fair bit of time actually working for your pop. You don't have to organize more than a hanful of people on at ##:## every day trying to get claim. You'll definately have competition on claiming the mobs that drop the pop items, but if you fail to claim something it's not like you'll have to wait hours and hours to try again for it. With this you take the one complaint most people were against and you eliminate it.

To add to it, if you really want to make it challenging have the pop item drop from higher level monsters (lv 57+). Have it take a group effort to farm and even more of a group effort to kill once you do spawn it.

Also, you were talking about wanting conditional spawns. What about the following situation. You have a wide area with a group of 24 tonberries (provided they have plans to add tonberries). If you take them out one at a time nothing happens. But if all 24 are down at the same time Tonberry King spawns somewheres randomly in the tonberry's territory.
