My problem is not my positioning. My problem is my range. Even at optimal positioning, and with other people engaging, if anyone with a gap closer chooses to target a MCH, they have no way to escape. The only effective way to prevent someone from just drilling into you is to hope you have Air Anchor up or someone else nearby with a stun. Even if they gave the shotgun both a knockback and a recoil of like... 5y, it would at least put a gap in place.

If a job is designed for single-target, long range damage, then they should be able to take greater advantage of that. Either the guns need a longer range, ditch Bioblaster entirely and make it a three step rotation, or they need a mobility option. The mobility option makes the most sense, because the other ranged DPS have them. Are you saying DNC and BRD should never use those?
