Me running my fat SCH ass in to use Mummification and then having to waddle back out. Can't say it's ever been an issue, and its range is smaller than Bioblaster's too.

You do know you have a mobility option, right? Expedient lasts long enough for a speed boost to get out of range, and gives you damage reduction. 10s is both a long time and a short time.
Damn, you're right! I can use a 30 second cooldown used primarily for group mitigation and Recitation procs to... move a little bit faster into and out of range.
Hey, wait. You've got that button too! It's called Sprint. Have you tried using it? Apparently "running forward and running away faster than normal" is a mobility tool, so that means you've got what you're asking for.
I mean, the fuck do you think happens if I screw up and mistime my attempts to move in for a Mummification? I get punished. So it's important that I position properly and read the room properly. Sort of like how you need to do that to safely use Bioblaster. See? It's totally fine, you're just cocking it up and balance whining instead of just accepting you're making mistakes.
My point is, you *have* a mobility option. That's it.Damn, you're right! I can use a 30 second cooldown used primarily for group mitigation and Recitation procs to... move a little bit faster into and out of range.

Let's look at it the other way, too. Why do melee and tanks get dashes? They shouldn't need them if they are positioned optimally and know their classes, right? They should be able to close without needing one, otherwise they should get punished for bad play. And why should mobility have additional effects like stun or DR? Do MNKs suck so much that they need to have an option to close effectively and get free hits in the process?
It's the exact same thing as me wanting MCH to have mobility, because of the same gap.

No, I don't. Expedient is literally a worse version of Sprint. It's slower. You do realize that, right? Have you ever played SCH?
Melee need dashes because melee cannot maintain uptime on a target that is sprinting away from them without either spamming dashes or having a speed buff of their own (No Mercy, etc.)
I do not have issues utilizing my 8yd range Mummification as SCH. You should therefore not have issues using your 12yd range Bioblaster on MCH.
You have learning to do. There is no issue with the class, there is an issue with you. Stop fucking crying about "waaaah I have to use my brain to use this part of the class," and fix your thinking problems. People like you will ruin games if allowed to get their wishes, because you don't want to have to put effort in.

Tbf the reason you'd use those skills extends more beyond just having the ability to have mobility, since all the Tank abilities are meant to proq additional effects. Onslaught for damage vuln, Intervene for sword oath, Plunge for healing debuff, Rough Divide for dmg buff. Even the melee's gap closers have more utility beyond just being mobility, which is what players should be using them for more than just moving. As for the actual issue of MCH mobility, still being able to freely move around, even with the cast times on your basic attack, while still having some incredibly burst is fine. Especially when you can still easily punish people rushing you with scattergun/bioblaster, or even use guard to just escape from being rushed. If you wanna play a ranged class with the ability to move around more i'd just play DNC or BRD.Let's look at it the other way, too. Why do melee and tanks get dashes? one of my main jobs is mch and brd both are decent jobs yes their is room for improvement and in time they will get upgrades.
