I wonder how much money they're throwing out with this? I totally would have paid for street gear just for the backwards ball cap. But what's this? No ears? I'll pass. I can't be the only one.
Actually a great point. Yeah, they shouldn't have bitten more than they can chew.
Got me thinking even, maybe they have approached the issue from the wrong angle. The thing that should have just been removed in 6.0 were hats. They are kinda ugly anyway and maybe we could have had higher quality body gear instead.

i hate posts like this because they address nothing and it just spits on those with valid complaints.Honestly, I wouldve just been happy if they kept with the original base races, at least then they wouldve given better attention to all of them and keep with the uniqueness of the usual archetypes. This is total contraversial opinion on my part yes but playable Au Ra, Hrothgar and Viera were a mistake on their end.
they're here and they're here to stay. it doesn't matter if you would've been just fine with the og races (although no offense but as far as i can tell you -weren't- around when the og races /were/ the og races unless this is an alt account in which case i apologize) -- what matters is that they exist.
additionally mitoques /are/ og races and they're suffering as well. not as severely as the others you listed... although ironically i see that you play male roe. how's it feel being a race that's consistently forgotten about and never taken into account when it comes to housing items? hope you're not having too much trouble struggling to use stairs or lofts.
I think that's his alt. He had a male Highlander Hyur until quite recently as his profile image.

I don't have a male Roegadyn among my character collection, but as a Midlander setting up house decorations, my impression was that everything is ludicrously oversized because they must be catering to all sizes of races.
Kitchen chairs are more medium-sized, I guess, but benchtops are tall and armchairs are huge.
Yeah and it sucks! miqoute and au ra are like the most represented (and overrated) races in this game and they still do them dirty. We'll like you said, not as much as the other races but they they seem to just not care with visual realism with Au Ra and their giant protruding horns on their headgear and its confusing why they dont use that same philosophy for ear clipping for the other races that need them.i hate posts like this because they address nothing and it just spits on those with valid complaints.

Yeah I have my personal tastes and I just felt like sharing them but I never said that they shouldnt fix their issues to satisfy the players that do like playing as them. I want people to enjoy their characters as much as I enjoy mines. I just dont like giving modders too much credit either.

I really f**** wish....
Legit. Try playing a Roegadyn. VERY few furniture pieces actually fit you. And the issue isn't even just that, the space you got to work with is tiny. Often you need to resort to large spaces and limit your decorations so that characters can have space to move, which gimps how much you can do with the space and how much you can do with the decorations of your already-limited space.
And don't get me started on doing it for an entire FC of large characters, because then you're just begging for minimalism. I go into a Lalafell's house and I'm absolutely flabbergasted at how much they managed to do. But that's fine. I go to venues designed by Miqo'te, Elezen, Au Ra and Hyurs, and though it's nowhere near as elaborate as a Lalafell's house, it's still pretty sleek. Roegadyn and Hrothgar houses are either cramped or they clearly had to go wide. And you can tell the difference as a "slim" character, because you go there, and a whole battallion of you can fit in there.
Meanwhile on a normal day it's just me and my boyfriend with barely enough room to fit in a Miqo'te.
It feels so bad when you have that new Ishgardian outdoor thermal baths decoration and you alone take up a third of the space.
So idk where you think things are ludicrously oversized; stuff has to fit everyone. But it's rare that it fits us xD The only generic things I know tend to fit us are some couches, the beds and stuff like lofts.
I wish we could resize decorations! BUT that'd imply we needed larger houses, and that's just not happening :x
ALSO on the topic of armchairs, why do Roegadyn and Hrothgar sit at the very tip??? Boi, you big chonk, move back @@ make use of the space!
One thing I will say, Atelier, is that there is a difference between expressing your personal tastes and being caustic. Which of the following do you think will have a more negative reaction from people?Yeah and it sucks! miqoute and au ra are like the most represented (and overrated) races in this game and they still do them dirty. "Hrothgar and Viera are not my cup of tea, and I personally think their inclusion has led to some setbacks that we now can't easily resolve. But I support what little they can get, within reason."
"Hrothgar and Viera were a mistake and shouldn't have ever been made. Square's dug a hole since making them and now we're stuck with these crap decisions. But people like them, so they should satisfy them."
Also ._. I don't think people mentioned modders, or glorified them that recently in this thread? But... I'll admit I haven't been reading everything. Either way, like I told you on the Accessibility thread, there are people who enjoy the game completely mod-free, even on PC. Even among these races. I understand these are the races that attract modders the most, but they shouldn't be given much credit. Instead, Square should be aware of the problem and direct resources to it.
-----------------------------------
I would also like to apologize for the absolute derailment this thread has gone from Miqo'te to arguing about other races. Considering I'm the one who has had the biggest hand in it thus far, I'm sorry. I'll just leave this here and then pitch in only when it's about actually addressing stuff that speaks about the Miqo'te experience. I've played a Sun Seeker when I started the game, I know the worst they had was clipping. This is now more than that, and that's not okay.
