They should decrease the amount of hairstyles being added every patch.
They could relocate the time and effort and create new faces, new tattoos and racial features tbh. Hairstyles are so...underwhelming lately. Mostly designed for females and being forced into "unisex", just for the sake of being unisex.

Au Ra have permanent resting b*tch face (unless you're a certain Sutrap), Roegadyn are built like refrigerators, Highlanders have no eyebrows, and Hrothgar are Hrothgar.

The other races don't really pull off the whole "big bruiser" aesthetic either, with midlanders and Miqos ranging from handsome/rogueish to boyish but being on the smaller side, Viera have my favorite height range but they're firmly on the pretty boy/femboy scale and their facial hair options look a little off (seriously what are those sideburns).

Meanwhile, as much as I love Elezen, their running animation could use some work, and they definitely don't strike as much of an imposing figure as the rest of the big boy races. I won't poke fun at their necks, not because that joke's been beaten below the Earth's core, but because it honestly doesn't bother me, and the same goes for the rest of their proportions.

Im all for masculinity but these calls often come off like they are being dismissive and argumentative against us feminine people. You don't "need" these men in this game. You want them to be, but lets be real. Final Fantasy has rarely been for masculinity. It's a bit braver than that.

FFXIV is currently oversaturated with effeminate males, and while there is obviously no problem with that it's not so terrible for someone to want a bit more classical manliness somewhere. Some people here tend to act out, like people are suggesting they take all the effeminate men and replace them with classical manliness and that's clearly not the case. Far too many things in life are treated as zero-sum games, and it's getting out of hand. Sometimes, it reads more like some of y'all are more afeared of losing your monopoly on what the characters in game tend to appear like visually.

I'm not in favor of gender locking hairstyles, but I am in favor of more masculine hairstyles being available and being available to everyone. I think most short hair styles they've introduced in recent years have had a random braid on it for absolutely no reason and it's annoying. Has there been an actual really short hairstyle since early Stormblood? (I mean really short, 1 inch long hair) I'm also in favor of more beards as it's really weird this game has like, none and most of the ones that are present are pretty ugly. Most of the male characters I see that use the beard all look the same because the beard will just be on 1 face and there will be 2 hairstyles that actually look good with it.

Is not having satisfying character creation options the reason why 95% of the guy players I know play with vety generic looking pretty girls? Miqo and au ra, maybe few middies.

I am not poking these people without realizing my flipped preference. 95% of my million alts are male, while im rl dudette.

So I would love guy character options to be expanded Bring it!!
Also in diension of glamours. As old Gaia Online user I am maybe little sensitive to signs of girly aesthetic options overtaking manly aesthetic options. It's not that bad in FF14, but I am keeping my eyes and ears open and finding myself slightly disappointed here an there. Two options, "♀" and "♂, but also ♀" are my least fav choice binary. BUT! I also want random sexy holes on male form gear pieces too. Not cool that only girls can enjoy random sexy holes in their clothes.

I just wouldn't want these gigantic armors with big pauldrons and everything like in WoW, as "masculine" armor. I've always thought that stuff looked super dumb.

The hairstyles have been hyper feminine and look terrible on stronger featured models like F highlander, I have no use for them. I feel like every single hairstyle has been geared for fem Au Ra and Miqo. I'd absolutely love shorter/ masculine hairstyles because they'd probably look better on some F models too.

not sure who you know, but a majority of the males I know that play female characters in ANY game do so because they "prefer the view"
