Yes. That plus the constant telling us how much he cares about us got grating real fast. I despise how they took one of the characters I liked in Shadowbringers and turned him into whatever it is he's supposed to be now.

I think people do listen, its just that if you do post negative opinions you do have to prepare for disagreement. Sure some of that disagreement may come with less then honest intentions, but not every negative thread comes with honest intentions either. If this forum is the bastion where negative opinions can be said without repression, then the same should go for those who disagree or wish to debate such things.Threads that take turns like how this one did is precisely why people get so frustrated that their feedback is being stifled by others and not being listened to. In any case numerous other games are set to release soon, many of which will likely not have as controversial a story as Endwalker did and they will be better for it.
I still have to disagree. Alphinaud has a great arc in the game, going from the annoying brat in ARR to having to mature over the expansions to become the moral ‘heart’ of the the party. I get that Gra’s adoration for the WoL can get a bit much for some, but I think its an interesting trait. I do wish he was given a little more to do then just that, but nothings perfect. I think the only thing we probably agree about in regards to them is that I hope we move on to see new characters for the moment haha.Both. The main cast members you've cited have such numerous issues that I shouldn't have to restate at this point, especially in the case of Alphinaud and G'raha Tia. I concede that the supporting cast barring Hildibrand are usually both better looking and better written, unlike the rich 16 year old and hardened soldier who now serves as a means for the game to try to land jokes with.
Another reason why gender-locking should be a thing of the past!

Most people I see wearing maid outfits these days are bunny boys.
That’s a horrible way to live. My life is more than the game I invested in, yes I’m invested but I play other games, do other stuff. If Ff14 goes under one day, I’ll miss it but I’ll move on if it’s dead or fight for a better game if it’s aliveSome people are just so emotionally invested in this game that they take criticism of the game as an attack on themselves too, and they aggressively defend it by going after the criticizer. It's why we occasionally hear stories of FF streamers getting harassed or doxxed.
most likely not.
These are the types of people who think too highly of themselves and their opinions.
the zodiark cult is unhinged. This has to be a joke. It's LITERALLY the exact opposite. I mean, Ysh'tola is the least developed scion and has been neglected during all of ShB and Endwalker until the writers changed...
also, lol @ this when some of you are literally stanning mr lahabrea and emet-selch, people that have killed billions all because they can't cope with the fact their society is gone.
"genocidal mother goddess figure" isn't exactly how I'd describe her either, considering how she's literally the only reason the WoL was able to hold off the fascists from taking over all of eorzea. but I'm guessing you agree with Varis or something so you'll find some way to tell me I'm stupid for not agreeing with the ascians
I'm starting to wonder if they are tempered xD

Sadly, I think this is something that goes both ways. Some people are exactly like you say. On the other hand, some other people seem so emotionally invested in the game (or at least their own head-canon of it) that if the writers don't tell exactly the story they want, it must be bad and turns into personal attacks on the writers. It's particularly sad when it seems to reach the point where they've decided that since they're not happy, nobody else should be. (Case in point, consider how there's multiple threads critiquing Island Sanctuaries. There's one thread dedicated to what people enjoy, and certain regulars here had to be among the first to respond just to bad-mouth it more.)Some people are just so emotionally invested in this game that they take criticism of the game as an attack on themselves too, and they aggressively defend it by going after the criticizer. It's why we occasionally hear stories of FF streamers getting harassed or doxxed.
I have to say this - aveyond's obsession with the burger always reminds me of Amber Heard's lawyer going absurdly on and on about the muffins.Yeah, graha Tia eats a burger! Ruins his whole character! Especially after all the horrors he went through during shadowbringers.
This thread is a perfect example of why forums like this are always a disaster. Someone has an unpopular opinion, but just because its a minority opinion doesn't mean its not valid. Its been heard before, its certainly not new to any FFXIV team who may happen to be browsing. Yet it is being rehashed here for multiple pages. And of course much of that multiple pages is people defending, a lot of out of a knee jerk reaction habit of responding to these people.I think people do listen, its just that if you do post negative opinions you do have to prepare for disagreement. Sure some of that disagreement may come with less then honest intentions, but not every negative thread comes with honest intentions either. If this forum is the bastion where negative opinions can be said without repression, then the same should go for those who disagree or wish to debate such things.
Posting the same critique in threads where it is not directly relevant is pointless negativity, and defending it in the same threads is also pointless.
interesting a viera with """new""" hair saying something like that

hia modsu!??
