If "doing well" means betraying the players who joined in during the Heavensward and Shadowbringers era who expected a well crafted story worth getting invested in so that they could pander to those who consider the likes of Island Sanctuary, Tweetingway, and the many slice of life/humor moments in the MSQ to be well done, then I suppose the game will continue to self select for those sort of players while those like me move on.
