The main benefit now seems to be that they have higher quality models and textures than other races, but with the 7.0 graphical update that's going to get flipped if they don't also update the Viera and Hrothgar models.
I'm not looking forward to the probable 7.0 situation where Viera and Hrothgar both have lower quality models and textures than other races, and then also can't any of the headgear SE releases.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't give the Vieras and Hrothgars the graphical update, and claim it was due to them being the latest.

I think they said the Graphics updates would be happening in waves. So that means they will see the Grafical update....
but yeah who knows how soon or later they will see updates, or how these updates will be handled.

That's great, not all hairstyles are perfectly suited for Hrothgar but at least they look much better with the ears.

Although I have to wonder, if they could fix it this quickly why didn't they do it in the first place?

Great lengths and the waves and yshtolas. If yshtolas hairstyles is given to vieras I will fantasia in a heartbeat. But seeing how there are so many headpieces vieras still can't wear, I am hesitant. the hairstyles ported over to viera have so far been a bit lackluster and given them a 5head in some instances. They need to remodel vieras and sink the ears lower somehow so hairs don't have to be stretched so far, making them look like helmets.

Also happy over Hroths getting their ears back and I asked them same question : Why take them out in the first place?
And this is what bothers me with this dev team: They obviously CAN do basically anything. They just DON'T until pressured into it.

I do hope there is more than just that; something desirable. Otherwise I won't be using that. I like that more is still being made available. I haven't read through a lot of the threads since this morning, does the new hairstyle look to be made available for viera,?

I mean, so far the new style added in Endwalker (Lyse's) works, so I presume that any hair from now on will.

As for those, they only showed one Viera-enabled style last time, but added 6 (corrected myself from above poster)... I'm also thinking they're just doing batches of 3 every patch.

Yeah, I'd like to think that, but I just can't. Also, the Lyse style was a cash shop item, although it's not like they make much of the cash shop headgear available, regardless they definitely made more money from viera players who could use it specifically. There was a profit incentive there.
