Hrothgar got their ears back, it looks so much better. I’m a bit behind on the XIV news, did they mention if Hroth will get race exclusive hair down the line? Or are they going to stick with the ports?

Hrothgar are two patches of ports behind viera and these patch notes only mentioned our ears, nothing else. However, considering hrothgar got both Island ponys, we should assume we will only get normal options rather than anything specific to hrothgar. I really don't see them ever doing hroth specific hair anyway because, considering how much people complained when only the race who's gotten nothing and has to buy fantasia to use their own racial hairs were the only ones mentioned getting hair updates in 6.1 until prelim patch notes dropped, it just really wouldnt make sense. No other race is getting unique hair after introduction, why would hrothgar?

That all said we cant really know anything until 6.3 now. Will hrothgar get more old styles or just brand new options? I sure hope we get more old options, I have all these modern aesthetics Im waiting to pop.

Because Hrothgar (And Viera) Can't wear most headgear, not only that I don't think majority of the ports suit the Hrothgar's aesthetic... Not saying they look awful btw, but a lot of people chose the race to play as a beast race and the hair just completes the look IMO. Personally I'd love for them to get more beast hairstyles like wild manes etc.

They probably figured it'd be more work to make new hairstyles from scratch. You almost never know with SE though.

I am very in love with Practical Ponytails on male Viera. It suits them perfectly and isn't too feminine as far as tied back hair goes. Reminds me a bit of Estinien's Endwalker ponytail in a good way.

Even if they cant get more headgear for us. I would much rather them work on getting hairstyles to work. In particular I would like the team that works on mogstation items to also work harder on implementing the items they release/released to be usable on all races.

I am so happy they added the ears back and the 2 new hairstyles! With that said, I don't care much about headgear, I would much rather see my character's emotions and facial expressions than a helmet, especially in cutscenes. So for me, if they continue to add hairstyles like this (2-3 per patch) then I will be happy. I am already glad that I can use the new hair on Hrothgar and Viera. And that they look good with them.

I like it that they start to adjust more hairstyles. But to be honest the lack of headgear is the much bigger problem, than die hair. For me it felt always like 'not belonging to', because so many things does not work.
For example most of the fun-glamour from little events does not work, also some of these Garo sets, which look really weird without the helmets.

I gave up and switched back to my Miqoboy. Miqofaces are not so well designed yet, as vierafaces are, but at least I feel like 'being part of the gang' again, and can use everything.

I am excitetd how my boy will look after graphics update.
