Huh, didn't Yoshi-P say in one of the interviews that the new expansion doesn’t really become obvious until 6.5,but then an event will happen to the world that sets up 7.0?
Just a stray thought - what if we don't fix the Void, but accidentally cause a rejoining?

I'd honestly prefer this and to then deal with the repercussions of one than a generic adventure in Meracydia or the New World.

I'm of the mind that the Void-Golbez will invade the Source with the Giant of Babil at the head of a Void army. It would allow whole world reuse, as well as new area going, to fight on all fronts, which could come from anywhere since Void Gates can be anywhere.

I would be very salty if we restore the Void in the MSQ, because that's what Cylva and Unukalhai want to do and since they're locked behind both a Trial line plus Extremes and all of the Shadowbringers Role Quests, they'll never be added to MSQ.

Though I may very well have missed something, I'm surprised we haven't least invited Cylva and Unukalhai to join us or even made them aware that we're visiting their 'home' shard.

It's easy, and just as I stated. They won't explore that as a possibility for MSQ, as it requires too many other things. Warring Triad could've maybe made mandatory, but they won't force players to level multiple jobs for all Role Quests. And without that ground work, they wouldn't make sense in the MSQ.


We might however get some sidequests with them added after we've been to the Void.

That would be... pretty terrible and I'd hate it.

I also think it cuts off a lot more potential than it makes. Like, you've just completely taken the concept of fixing the Thirteenth, exploring more of the still-messed-up Thirteenth, and the entire concept of the voidsent off the table. In favor of... what? Everyone is intangibly slightly beefier, but at a rate so uniform across the Source that it doesn't make a difference?

EDIT: Also I'm pretty sure that kinda breaks Reapers on a conceptual level; our Avatar is mostly over there. You rejoin the Thirteenth, Reaper no longer functions on a basic level.

I'd expect conflict to break out in Corvos in a few patches with a shift to the Garleans leading into next expansion.

I feel like something that would "completely change the story" would be wholly unrelated to the void, and the rogue Garlean legions doing something that calls for immediate action like utilizing some kind of superweapon that poses a threat to the whole of the Three Great Continents would be an easy one.

This actually sounds good.

I gotta admit i just dont know stuff about him, so i cant speculate as much, but it would fit our theme of the last dungen being a warzone...

You know, the plot literally came out of nowhere when everyone thought 5.0 is going to be Garlean-themed expansion with everyone fighting in a large-scale war.

Yeh, but reaper doesn't work conceptually anyway considering the WoL is supposed to be a hero with a bleeding heart, so much so they feel bad for the "bad guy" they're killing most of the time. Making a silly pact to make a monster your pet that will absorb souls of your victims (while it devours your own) is pretty nuts!

The lore for 'em is just "lore" that doesn't mean anything and doesn't hold up under scrutiny. Which is par for the course, i suppose.
