Agreed... And it's less about Kaiten being great, more Shinten spam being really bad. Just give us something, anything.
The reason they're not merging Ougi Namikiri with Ikishoten is because we're getting single target ougi next expansion :^)

Why does everyone keep saying we should get a Single Target Ogi Namikiri? There's literally no reason for another redundant skill.

If anything should have been pruned or consolidated, we have multiple options already and multiple ways that can be done.

The only skills that make sense to keep separate from aoe and st is shinten and kyuten as those are the dump skills for the gauge.

Everything else after that, ok, it isn't terrible to keep, but to keep making more like that is just ridiculous. That would be creating the problem they claimed to have tried to fix.

Nah that's honestly not simple enough.

SE heard our feedback ( not ), some players miss the old Tenka Goken... hence SE decided to change all Iaijutsu, Shinten, Enpi, Yaten, Gyoten, Hakaze and even Meditation into Conal AoE's, just like Ogi Namikiri. Then players will complain on how " oh so finger breaking it is " to play with impossible to aim Conal skills, and turn EVERYTHING into Circles, including Hagakure being a Circle AoE. Not sure how they will manage to do that, but they obviously know what they are doing so Ikishoten even will be an AoE Circle. They totally got this o/ /s
