Coming back to the forums for a bit since the 6.2 patch is soon, and I was surprised to read this, like, isn't this is a really mean-spirited post? I checked my post history and apparently I responded to a topic you made months ago regarding stuff like this cause the name was familiar, and the subject matter mirrored my experiences with the Dark Knight pushback over the last few years. Was my answer back then not sufficient?

Is this what you've been doing the entire time in the DPS forums since the patch? Railing on SAM players? As someone who spent, jeez, 3 years on trying to get Blood Weapon fixed, and even longer for Living Dead fixed on DRK, it's not like I don't sympathize with the DPS players pushing back on this, but I don't know the role enough to really support their endeavors beyond hoping the best for them. But do you gotta grind it in their face that the game they loved will never exist again, when you yourself have limited investment or stake in the actual topic and just enjoy seeing them miserable?

I don't know man, even if they're just randoms on the internet...is that really alright? Or am I just more empathetic than I should be in standard XIV forum trash talking?

It formulated to be constructive & civil whence it began prior to 6.1 patch. Given the recent incursion one or few may say that some did respectfully were in accord & content with the current changes, which lead to the utmost hostile reaction from those very first that were beyond “offended” or so they’ve felt compelled to express it such as; hence the current charade which is ongoing to this day.

Mind you, I should not say the obvious (please see my dear Celes & her crusade posts) there are few that I dearly respect despite such opposition (xAfrox for one) that still retains civility & likely can be persuaded to come about things accordingly.

All in all it truly is teathrical & a drama that became dull say otherwise.

Merely look at the responses of those are in support for Kaiten which seem fanatical & hostile. I am nor anyone is stranger to it I am sure!

Once again, you never explained why you like these changes. Legitly after reading some of the reply, it seems to me that there are players that does not even want to learn how to play a class proper. Removed kaiten just because of a boss moves and you cant hit it? lets be real its up to the players to understand the fight. Muscle memory? the more you do something the easier it becomes

Apparently it is. If the frequent troll visitors with yet again nothing of substance to share, can navigate the forums? It somehow is baffling how paid employees like Dev's cannot.

Then again caring seems to not be what they are being paid to do. Just acting to care is good enough, while making changes that will make their jobs easier to perform. Even at the cost of our gameplay.

Call me a pessimist, since I was convinced starting out that SE with FFXIV specifically was different then the other publishers behind some MMO's I used to play. But after some years of MMO's, I think I have come to accept what they are all about. They might play different, even look different, but at the end we're still wallets. At least SE/Dev's/Yoshi make me feel that way. And I can accept that completely if they didn't ruin the gameplay.

So rather they revert or definitely do something new that genuinely is an improvement over a revert ( Ha-GoodLuck-on-That-Expectation ) is a waiting game I remember all to well from other MMO's that ends up in a watered-down product thrown back at our faces with ignored feedback.

Yes, I do have a Lv. 90 SAM & was content & did get around Kaiten long before its removal which at first did indeed caught me off guard, though instead of reacting I merely analyzed its premise of its removal & concurred while the change was not pleasant I ultimately came to see other avenues & still enjoy the job as it is + its current crit bonuses which buffed the job altogether.

Moreso, I do advocate for button bloat/shortening & “only” hope certain abilities are to be removed to give room in boosting up current ones while also having less abilities on the hotbar for the support of more pragmatic & straightforward gameplay while also focusing more on spatial awareness & truly feel immersive with the game as my eyes would see fit to it (You may say PvP done it great & I adore it).

Given the previous & ongoing controversy of player-META created/creation I truly do not care for numbers nor the meter-based which evaluates perforamance & its best to leave it for savage, hardcore gaming which I’ve no business nor am I against & yet I don’t bother with such principles (which lead many to dictate “I barely know its job” which is preposterous ).

On one occasion I am onboard its to have the devs reflect on it & either merge the AoE abilities (to have a following sequence) or just remove certain abilities otherwise deemed underrated (Third Eye for instance perhaps!?).

Needlessly speak I’ve no further statement than to say that I do support the current changes.

We can only see & hope what next week may bring….

Uh, no... until they give SAM something of substantial worth in place of what's been removed, I do not and will not appreciate the changes made. I am mostly in agreement with the majority, though I will say it doesn't help anyone's case if you actively antagonize the people who are passionate about the game, intentionally or not.

And on the note of disliking the removal of abilities, I still suffer from Seigan being taken away to reward good mitigation. The added kenki from Third Eye is a nice addition, but considering that 10 kenki goes to more Shinten, I still think as I have always believed, that Seigan should have been an ability that Shinten changes to when under the effect of Third Eye proc. I'd hate to see our only tool/reward for paying attention to boss patterns be removed. I'm tuning out enough thanks to the changes made in 6.0 already.

It's why I moved to maining my tank jobs again.

Think some mentioned that a lot of trolls on the DPS section happen to be Elezen's. Was reading threads on other subsections of the forums and found a very straight to the point Elezen.

Now if only some ppl would put as much effort into learning the bare basics of gameplay that they do coming to the forums and composing long, drawn out excuses on why they shouldn't have to put effort into anything in the actual game lol

Thought it was funny to show contrast and apply this here since I am not buying the politically correct paragraphs coming from the Elezen we have here sipping wine for long time after admitting to troll and the mods not really doing anything about it.
