    This confuses me. The "restrict how much you pull" has been in place since as far back as HW. Endwalker was nothing new in that regard, and it applied to every single dungeon in ShB as well. Heck, ShB even had places like the last part of Holminster Switch where only one pack at a time even spawned. And since you used it as an example of "big, painful pulls" - the most you could pull in there was still just 2 packs + a pat, which you can also do in EW's Tower of Zot. Frankly, the EW dungeons have significantly more going on with most of them than the ShB dungeons did (just compare the final battle of Zot to practically anything in ShB).

    The average player is simply too bad for you to increase difficulty in MSQ related dungeons and trials. For solo instances they can do something as they always have a easy mode option available. Sadly for story related things and difficulty they are better off by using side story and trials to account for difficulty. Anything MSQ related is automatically constrained in the difficulty simply because its required to progress through the story.

    By the time Carbine's Management became the fall guy for the game's failure, it was too late. The initial concept was flawed, in that the creators thought that a large number of people would willingly pay a subscription for a much harder MMORPG. The game was fun enough, but the skill/luck required to get through those 'punishing aspects' equated to a great reduction in the number of paying players.

    I enjoyed it, but there were less hard-core MMORPGs with 'fun casual content' out there on the market, vying for my time.

    I've already clarified my position several times over and you keep bringing up your same original opinion. You are NOT the kind of person I was referring to because for all intents and purposes, you lack any impairment that would prevent you from playing nearly all aspects of the game. I was referring to those people, like myself, who WILL be adversely affected if the MSQs are made harder. I keep bringing this up because you keep going back to your original opinion. If that is no longer an issue for you, I would appreciate it if you would stop trying to reset this argument back to the original statements.

    Mostly the first pull of HS and first and last pulls of Mt. Gulg. The last w2w pull of Mt. Gulg pretty much needs everyone to be at their best to be done somewhat comfortably. There is no such pull in any of the EW dungeons.

    Also, I didn't join ffxiv and was good at it on day one, it took years of adaption and practice to be where I am today.

    The solo instances are harder than most if not all dungeons after ARR and are even somtimes more fun to do. Between that theirs the inevitable heavy HEAVY go-to-the-place-and-talk-to-the-thing scenario that kills the pace. (Which isn’t ff14 fault more the formula of MMOs these days)

    Not sure what making the story harder would achieve, except driving people off. You want to be encouraging more people to play the game, not less.

    Plus of course, if it's too hard you will have a cohort who just boost, then use beast tribes to level. Meaning when you finally get them in a dungeon, they will be complete instance-virgins.
