There no rage just how it look. 20 for how much jobs?for a game that add how much new sets each half a year?

And about the "server space taken" for instanced housing, they should just use another server only for housing (one for each DC). in this way, becomes impossible to give us this kind of excuse. Would definitly be awesome if they use the island for instanced housing! Let's hope for the best![]()

is it true that we can visit our island from our house using the airship?
If it's true it would be great news but I wanted to know if we could make the return trip to our home
I'm in the same mind to houses that they're cool for people who want them, but to me they're a waste of time and coding. If I want to play a dollhouse/farming simulator there are thousands of games that do them better then any mmo is going to. But again that's just me.

we always will have a better game for everything. But the experience in having features we found in another games condensed in FFXIV will be unique because it's the only one that is mixing things the way they are mixing. In this aspect FFXIV will be exclusive![]()
Just think about Y'shtola wearing biquini in your own island drinking coco and listening to your songs as a bard. In which another game you will have this? xD

Yeah that's why I don't bother with housing anymore. Content that doesn't have impact in the main game loop just wastes my time and energy.
There are people who like the concept however.
Personally I wish they made the main gameplay loop more interesting, instead of spending so much time making fluff watered down versions of content other games do better like farming and housing.
Only side content that doesn't feel that way is Triple Triad. Probably because it wasn't invented by the XIV team.
I like Stardew Valley. When I feel like it I just go play more Stardew Valley or real farmsims, since going by every side content in XIV, it will have 10% of the depth or less.

Uh ... shouldn't you try to answer your own question? I can give you mine: I play this game because I enjoy it. So why do you pay 15$ a month for a game you hate playing so much? What does that make you?
It has been extremely clear for a long time now FF14 intend to be a theme park MMO, not a specialize MMO. Even stuffs I guess you consider the "main loop" like raid still have a fairly low amount of content comparing to games that focus on such. However that's kinda irrelevant. You can order a steak at a general dining, but the number of choice and quality probably will not match an actual steak house. But that doesn't mean there is some issue with the dinning, because steak is just one among a few dozens items that you can order. It doesn't make sense to fault a dinning for the fact it doesn't serve enough steak just because you only like steak, you should find a steakhouse if you want the menu to be 90% steak.

I would add the intentions have been clear even before it launched. Devs can't keep up with the demand for the main loop content, so they have to come up with other activities. The nice thing about XIV (for the devs AND the players) is there's very little waste. Older content tends to retain some value.
