I knew I should have double checked my Hotbars were orderly and intuitive before queuing up for the first time in months

I accidentally shirked the healer instead of Holy Shelltron during the tank buster and they died

Viel, and intervention and POA wasn't enough to keep the DPS alive for the whole fight

I ended up soloing the boss but I felt bad
Maybe I should have just repented with a quick death to be faster

I apologized multiple times and everyone said it was fine, we cleared anyway- but still...

You are not alone. When I was learning to tank my friends tagged along with me. Thought I hit a cooldown but instantly realized I hit shirk and my healer friend ate the tankbuster.

We all wiped we were laughing so hard. You probably feel bad but I doubt anyone was actually upset. I know if it were me on healer I'd probably be laughing my butt off.

Which boss hits with a tankbuster early enough into the fight that you can shirk onto a healer and they'll actually get aggro? After 1 full combo it should be impossible.

I would never get away with this. I can't even disconnect/have my client crash and come back to a dungeon without people griefing me over it. People take those little accidents so personally, even though I apologize(and seriously, your Healer/Tank dcs and they come back, shouldn't you be thankful?).

Are you sure they died to the Shirk and not something else (for example if the tankbuster cleaves and they stood too close)? I ask because Shirk only transfers 25% of your Enmity, so it's actually quite difficult to kill a dps or healer with it.
