I mean, I wouldn't assume no one in the English player base has done this just because you personally haven't seen it on the forums. Stuff like that isn't always posted on the forums. Sometimes it's posted on social media, sometimes it's sent via customer support tickets. I would not be surprised if English players absolutely have done this, having seen how often it happens to devs on US-based games.
Also, while there will always be people who shut down any criticism of their favorite game, whether it's voiced politely or not, from what I've seen there are also plenty of people who are fine with reasonable criticism, and may even have their own, but still take issue with those who outright harass the devs. There are things I'm currently not happy about (the mess that is housing) but overall I still really love this game and do think the devs are trying their best to deliver a good product, and think the way some people voice their complaints is not constructive at all.
As another former WoW player, I'm not sure I agree. Granted I haven't spent much time on these forums, but the few times I've lurked here, they seem much less toxic than the WoW forums. I couldn't even look at the WoW forums most of the time because it was just stressful and rage-inducing the things people would post there and the way they'd talk to other players with little to no mod action taken.
And I don't get the sense from the devs on this game that they don't listen to the player base. Maybe they aren't doing what you personally want them to, but overall they do seem to lean more towards trying to make as many people happy as possible. But sometimes what one player wants directly conflicts with another, and it can't be both ways, so they're probably gonna go with what they think will make the most people happy or what will work best. That's not the same as ignoring player feedback/saying "my way or the highway."
In general the philosophy of this game seems very much to be "play the way you want to play" with plenty of different types of content for casual and hardcore players, which is VERY different from how WoW handles things.
