Shall I go on? Or could we please have our feedback actually be listened to and addressed. With how often this game's players tell those of us who voice criticism to take a break or play something else, they cannot hope to be surprised if one day enough people collectively take their advice and leave for greener pastures.

Endwalker however has managed to cause and exacerbate more issues in the past 7 months than this game has in 9 years. Something is clearly amiss, and we need for this game's problems to be tackled and taken seriously instead of in a dismissive or joking manner.

So you dislike someone for asking people to be polite? There's a difference between criticism and feedback and sending death threats, verbal assault and personal attacks. It got bad. He had to make a statement about it because no person should endure that kind of abuse and if you think it's ok please seek help.

Yoshi-P deserves to be cheered for the way he took a failure of an MMO and turned it into arguably the biggest success story of MMOs in history. However, he has a very bad habit of blowing off criticism and making excuses for why things can't or shouldn't be done. And since going through that same kind of stuff in Star Wars Galaxies at the hands of Sony Online Entertainment, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Especially when during SWG's sunset months the devs were given free reign to do what they wanted and actually proved that the President, Producer, and Corporates BS about things being impossible were literal bold faced lies.

I like him a lot, but he also annoys me to no end. I wish he'd level with us and explain specifically why he's unwilling to do something or if it's "impossible" tell us the real reason why rather than saying the tired old "data can't handle it."

Truth and clear communication. It isn't much to ask for in a subscription based game.

While it's true the vast majority of younger gamers today would never survive in a counter-strike match or MW2 pre-game lobby, there is no harm in asking players to behave like civilized human beings. If you can't enjoy a game without trolling someone else or take actual offense to being asked nicely not to be dick to other people, that's more of a you problem. There's a fine line between friendly trash talk all in good fun or harsh but constructive criticism and being a total ass to people for no good reason.

The funny thing is he wasn't even talking about criticism when he said be kind. He was specifically talking about dev abuse. So now saying not to abuse the devs equates to "you can't criticize the game " apparently. The way people twist words never ceases to amaze.

And yes, the game has been making more money than ever, but I'd bet only a small fraction is reinvested towards it.

True enough, and this is even more worrying now that he has stepped down from the board of directors of Square-Enix. They were already siphoning money from this into other projects, failures or successes, and I imagine it's only going to get worse.

Edit: Just learned he didn't step down. Ignore everything I say. I am a liar and not to be trusted!
