I'll find out when they're dead. But yeah, wouldn't you want to know who the newbie is in advance. Do you just wait until your healer if forever raising the dead person over and over saying "Let me guess, your the one or more new person duty message mentioned." I say better to admit it up front at the start to prepare everyone. Love the meme!
If there are 4 sets of mobs before each boss, split between 1 wall and it takes 2 minutes for DF players to aoe each of them down, then it would take 4 minutes before each boss with big pulls and 8 minutes before each boss with small pulls. Multiply that by 3 and you get 12 minutes and 24 minutes respectively. It stands to reason that if you spend twice as long killing mobs then the dungeon run is almost twice as long too.
My runs used to be 30-40 minutes and became 16 minutes when I started pulling more. When I did a dungeon a while ago that normally takes me 16 minutes as a tank, it took twice as long because we got a tank that was doing small pulls and it wasted enough time that we didn't do the second roulette that was planned.
Just because they wipe when they pull big doesn't mean that people complain. I don't personally wipe, so I can only speak from the perspective of a tank that doesn't pull more than he can handle. In ARR dungeons such as Snowcloak it's long been common for tanks to go and pull 4 packs instead of 2 and then die, but that has more to do with their judgement rather than the fact they did big pulls.Ive seen parties wipe when they pull big..so no, wrong.
This question is unnecessary because it will show them as viewing a cutscene and usually they will have sprout or returner status as well. Then the game will go further and say that someone in the duty is new.
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

Would be amazing if SE added a signature for newbies, something that's next to your name to show others that you're new to the game. Shame we dont have it..But yeah, wouldn't you want to know who the newbie is in advance. I just leave when they pull 1 at a time.
I think a lot of people forget they can do that or kick.
Its funny that they aren't usually sprouts like a lot of people here defend, but often have multiple 90's including a Tank and are crafting mentors..
If you're lvl 80+ and you pull small in a 60 dungeon even if you haven't done it yet i'll gladly take the penalty.
They usually have edgy names too like Blood Slayer and then they pull like wimps xD
I play all roles. If I, as the healer, am telling you wall to wall please, you as the tank don't have the excuse of "making sure the healer can handle it" to pull small pulls. The healer is in charge of healing. So stay in your lane, do your job and don't use the healer as a scapegoat for your inability to find the forward key.
This is not a new vs experienced issue because I've seen sprout tanks follow suggestions and pull big perfectly. It's a skill issue.
YES SUPREME LEADER! WOULD YOU LIKE SOME TEA WITH THAT SIR? *hail*I play all roles. I go into my Nvidia replays folder every now and then just to see what i have recorded as i forget half the time and the amount of random , me rummaging through inventory whilst at a city/inn, is rather alarming. I need to change the record keybind to default as the one i used made it too easy to accidently press evidently.
Sometimes your group just sucks. The dps aren't aoeing or they're "saving their CDs for the boss" so it's taking forever. the healer's spamming cure 1 when nothing's even happening in an endwalker dungeon. And every pull takes so long that you run out of resources for mitigating damage and you fall over dead. So these people say "to hell with it" and pull less in that dungeon. And when it happens enough, they just start pulling less in general. And for some people this is their leveling experience from the start of the game until the very end, because anyone who's done dutyfinder content knows that people can't play the game at all. Large pulls are a team effort, and bad team members make it painful. A healer can make up for a lot, but let's be real here, I was leveling my DRK and got SCHs who wouldn't even summon their fairy; shit's a mess out there. I'd pull big and they'd just stand there. If I were new and didn't know that that wasn't typical, I'd just assume it was on me. A high leveled single puller is the product of numerous bad experiences. It's the same with those cure1 bots. If they had more tanks who didn't die immediately in trash packs, they'd feel comfortable dpsing during pulls, but most of the tanks they meet in dutyfinder just charge in and let Jesus take the wheel. These people probably did pull big at one point, but it blew up in their face so many times that they don't even bother anymore. I feel sorry for the ones that speak. The ones that don't even type are like bots to me.
Whenever I wind up healing these people, I just heal them like crazy on their single pull and most get it through their head that this shit really doesn't hurt at all and then they pull more. It's like watching a boy become a man. Very enjoyable experience, well worth the 15 a month.

You pull big even if they are new to the dungeon. If you use cds properly and max your damage, heal yourself, you can usually survive long enough to clear big pulls even when other players are half assing. If you do happen to wipe, just take the L and pull smaller. Gambling on 20 seconds lost to a wipe vs the time lost on small pulls is easily worth it.
